Two things that have helped me are to use Intense Debate fro my commenting system to help track my readers who leave comments and what else they comment on. And the other is to contact the person/entity whenever I mention them. Something simple like, "Made a mention of you in my post, please review and comment as you deem necessary." This has helped to attract readers that may not have ventured there on their own. Keep the great info flowing. Not devious and very insightful.
