Affiliate Commissions

Affiliate Program & Commissions –Evaluating a perfect model

Perhaps, the biggest mistake made by online marketers is to make a one-time sale and no other interaction with the customer.  The quickest example of such a sale is the act of clicking on a pay-per-click ad on this site.  Sure it will pay a buck or a bit less, but then the visitor is GONE!  Perhaps, never to be seen again.

The other end of the spectrum is to create a funnel of income –from the initial visit to the purchase of a product or membership, a stream of income is created.  In this update, I’ll show you the track I’ve taken making money online using the affiliate program that I’ll debut this Monday.

The affiliate program pays commissions on all the monetizing features of the Rich Sage network of sites (when I can track users) that basically drift into two types –Direct and residual commissions.

My commission payments come down to an Affiliate earning money at every point in the “funnel” –as visitors are taken from a membership (and productivity starts) and they bring in the Clients, commissions are paid at each step.

More about recurring commissions while you make money…

From Direct Commissions to Residual Income

Often these commissions are direct –one time sale = one time commission.  Then there are the commissions generated by memberships and services, which pay every time billing takes place.   Below I’ve summarized that process by showing how an Affiliate starts with mainly local sales and earnings, and over time transitions to a more monthly residual income that can be much greater.

This process also takes on an indirect relationship with the number of Clients you have –You’ll have hundreds of Clients that bill a few dollars per month, and then dozens who bill a hundred or a few hundred dollars.  Then you’ll have one or two that bill a lot more –perhaps, in the thousands of dollars as you build their business.

As time goes by, those Clients start to build the residual end of the equation –they start to use products and services that generate monthly residual income from recurring billing.  I’ve talked extensively about such products.  In the case of the Maxsimo Affiliate Program, the main product is a suite of services that any small business can use to advertise and market online and offline.

Looking at earning affiliate commissions long-term, it’s vital that you look for instances of the “funnel” where a user is taken from a small, entry level product to the “pro” (all in one type) of product that has a much larger pay day.

When you achieve that, you’ll be looking at something like the example below.  This is what I have worked very hard to implement with my affiliate program.

What you need to accomplish, long-term:

With the above chart, I wanted to portray your income which will be more of a direct income when you start.  Your focus will be to build all types of income, Client by Client, until you reach your goals with a residual income that is comfortable.

As you do all these activities, you’re also free to refer other Affiliates who want to work in a limited role of delivering our software to users.  My affiliate program is run via the Rich Sage Underground and there is a monthly membership fee to join the “inner circle”, but that is a small expense in return for what you get –access to what I feel is the ultimate affiliate program for online success.

Carpe Diem,
Rich Sage
