Creativity IS Alive and Well: Rich Sage Takes a Peek at the 2007 You Tube Awards

You Tube Awards 2007

The Rich Sage took a break this am to just stroll around a bit and ran into the You Tube awards. Sure enough a few of my favorite videos are there, as are some new ones that I’ll point to in a bit.

At the same time, I created a new “Directors” channel that I called “RichSagedotCOM” with the objective of resurrecting the idea of posting “How to Make Money Online” user videos. I started this process a while ago, but it didn’t really take off in my daily routine. I attributed much of that to not having the right mindset at the time. I tend to get very technical and rather boring. I hope I can pursue the new videos with better wisdom. Another problem was a rather noisy computer. I have resolved that part and now I am ready to build my channel.

See some original videos here…

The setup is rather simple:

  • Just screen recordings using Camtasia 5.0
  • A very good Logitech USB MIC. I use such a mic as I’ve read that a USB mic records much better sound than any other type. It also has a boom to ‘get up close’ with my voice.
  • Lastly, my voice, which I think sounds a lot better in the AM, when I get started –as oppose to recording too late in the day way I am ready to relax.

Getting back to the Awards, what are some of my favorite videos? Let me share some…

Where else can you learn to charge your iPod using an onion and two cups of electrolytes? You can here!

The YouTube awards has these categories for voting: Inspirational, Sports, Eyewitness, Series, Instructional, Commentary, Politics, Sports, Music, Creative, Comedy, Adorable and Short Films…

Where else can you see Paris Hilton’s Jail Video on demand? Yup, it’s there, in the “Comedy” category appropriately.

Anyway, a nice collection of videos to not just kill some time, but to learn a bit about what can be done. I’ll leave you with this…

Enjoy.
