E-book or Membership Site?

E-Book or Membership Site for the Rich Sage Affiliate Program?

In my site monetizing plan I’ve run into a wall: I had decided to write an e-book, which is nearly complete. I need to “hand off” the project to a professional editor.
The objective of the e-book is to educate my readers and subscribers. However, I feel that an e-book accomplishes that task in a rather old fashion way in that I cannot update the content as often enough. Literally, every-other-week the owner of the e-book have to download a new version to keep up with the demands of the Internet.
However, if I introduce the same ideas via a membership, I can accomplish the same tasks in a virtual classroom and keep up with changes at Internet speed.
Ideas to greatly increase your site monetizing plans…
In the end, my conclusion was that:
- I publish my e-book as an introduction to my work and philosophies and business success planning.
- In many chapters of the e-book I point the reader to my free membership area.
- Then for my local area business plan students offer a private class that teaches them step by step.
Then my long-term plan to publish around 10 e-books falls right into place. I’ll make each e-book a digital ho-to manual and the more advanced step by step processes and the PRO Member Forum will be contained in a membership area.
As part of this work, I’ll offer the following support:
- Hosting question support
- Script installation support –from a selected list of programs
- Support for our own tools and services
- Execution of our business plan
The conclusion of all this is that the PRO Membership will become part of the membership programs that are marketed from the Maxsimo Network. Through it, I’ll pay Maxsimo Network Affiliates commissions –most likely around 50% of the revenue after expenses.
Steps Getting Started:
STEP ONE: Getting started, I’ll make an offer here using a sales page and drive some Google traffic to it, just as a test. That will give me time to work on the sales copy.
STEP TWO: Using ‘good copy’ I’ll introduce this as a WSO at the Warrior Forum. That will allow me to get a few testimonials and reader feed-back.
STEP THREE: Finally, once I have proven sales copy, I’ll focus on the membership area and leave the sales copy to a professional who can make it even better. Using the latest sales copy, I’ll release it to the Affiliates and various marketing channels that they (Affiliates) come up with.
STEP FOUR: Take the e-book and customize it for the best selling Affiliates. Keep producing more and more e-books, articles and content to help the Affiliates sell more.
I think this is a solid plan. Finally, after thinking about the process for many weeks, I have something in place that I can get done, and build upon. Now to getting it done…
Carpe Diem,

you also have the choices, write it alone. hire someone to write it for you. write it with a group of people that are experts in fields close to you, but not overlapping.
I will suggest you combine the 2 methods.
Release the E-book, but let it contain information about the Membership Project.
After reading the E-book, people will be much more willing to subscribe for membership so that they can have a hands-on experience while you walk them through the lessons.
Well that is my opinion. You asked for it!
