The Rich Sage Review of FireFox 3.0

The ‘underdog’ strikes again! Just a few years ago, Internet Explorer commanded 97% of the browser market. Near everyone apart from some diehard geeks used IE. Just a little over two years ago the huge market share started crumbling. At first Opera started to chip away at IE. Then came FireFox.

Today I would like to discuss the latest version of FireFox -version 3.0. FireFox is built in a way that brings together the best minds of the open-source community to publish a product that is a leader in what it does. However, the development goes one step further with the availability of plugins that expend the amount of functions.

FireFox 3.0 Review

I believe that allowing third-party functions are what make the next generation of software very powerful. We’ve already seen that progress in WordPress, where a community of developers publish software at such a pace, that even a corporate giant like Microsoft cannot keep up with the volume or innovation only possible with a community of software developers.

More about FireFox3.0…

Ease of Management: One-Click Bookmarks
FireFox3 Improvements

Perhaps the greatest ordeal with browsers that I’ve had is the bookmarks. I’ve had a good collection of them, and suddenly Windows has to be reinstalled and I lose everything. First of all, FF3 makes it very easy to bookmark a particular location with one click. Just click the “star” in the browser URL window, and it’s done. Then I can simply go to Bookmarks >> Recent Bookmarks and organize anything that I feel is out of place. Organizing your bookmarks is as easy as dragging an icon or text description from the “Recently Bookmarked” tab to the folder in your bookmarks area!

I know there are countless online book marking services. But, I have always felt comfortable managing my bookmarks on my computer. Lately, I’ve backed up MY DOCUMENTS religiously, and data loss has not been a problem.

FireFox3 Reviews Addons
The Magic of FireFox3.0 Add ons…

The Add On area at FireFox.com has ‘plugins’ (or add ons) –they are the same, that allowed extended functionality for FireFox. This is where I think the collaborated effort of the online community cannot be completed with. There are literally thousands of programmers around the world working on extensions for FireFox that can give it infinitely more capabilities. That part of the growth of FireFox has just started!

Take for example, my beloved extension –RoboForm, which supports both FireFox and IE. This is perhaps my best time saver –A program I cannot live without!

Another feature that I am absolutely find vital to my success is the way FireFox updates me about the plugins. I get an announcement that a plug in has an update. I can elect to update immediately or forget about it only to be reminded later. Shortly after activating the RoboForm plugin I received an announcement that there was an update to the plug in.

This feature alone enables a lot more functions while saving time by managing the updates better.

FireFox3 Reviews
FireFox3.0 gets nothing less than 5 Stars!

My summary of FireFox3 is that they delivered a good program the last time around. Now the team at Mozilla has made it even better. Add to that the third-party add ons that will be dreamed by the masses, and available mostly free, FireFox3 will be the most powerful browser to the make money online community for a long time.

Carpe Diem,

Yeah, My thumbs up too for Firefox. I’ve never look back at IE since I change to Firefox. The tab browsing is what I like most.

I upgraded to version 3.0 while it’s still in beta but somehow having some strange behavior. So, I re-download the official release version 3.0 today and it’s working great now. Anybody having this problem may try to reinstall it.

At first, the new version worried me as some useful add-on / extension is not working. But I see more and more of these extension gradually made compatible with the new version. Just a great browser!

Identity theft protection from Phishing Scams, plus…

I really love the anti phishing feature of Firefox 3, plus it is fast. I used to use IE 7 but it returned the results too slow. Firefox 3 has an unrivaled interface for all users alike.

I have been waiting to download Firefox 3 because I’ve been afraid of my plugins not working. It seems that most of the plugins have been updated so I’m going to give it a shot.

Thanks for reminding me.

I’ve made it my crusade to turn IE users onto using Firefox.

Every time I show someone how fast it runs compared to IE I see their amazement. It’s surprising just how many people have never heard of Firefox - but I’ve yet to find anyone go back after they’ve discovered it.
