Using GiMP to Make Images

Gimp review by the Rich Sage

Just about every post that I place on my blog has an image.  These images and many of the banners, buttons, and various Rich Sage media are made using GiMP (http://www.gimp.org) a free program that you can download for Windows, Mac and even Linux.

The recent update to version 2.4 gives it a new look and ads many features that only programs that are $100’s of dollars have.

What’s remarkable about the program is that it’s free.

So, if you are looking to create Web2.0 type graphics, create banners, images, buttons –any type of image, GiMP is your solution.  And what a great price?  Zero. Cannot beat that.

It does not matter the type of project –from photo retouching to professional web graphics — Gimp will do it all.

GIMP is sweet, I agree, it is certainly recommended to everyone who doesn’t have Photoshop.
