Growing Savepedia — A Blue Print

In the coming weeks and months I have the challenge of re-launching my Rich Sage Underground and building the Savepedia(TM) brand.

The incentives for people to start working with me are simple:

  • The individual pages that are run by the WikiMedia software, just like Wikipedia, are managed by my Members.  Thus, they can insert their own links in the pages that they maintain.
  • Eventually, the pages will feature our own discount program that does not rely on affiliate links (most of the time) or click-per-action deals.
  • Lastly, the data collected will power the Global Discount Card(TM) and several unique products that the local member will customize for his or her location and marketing ideas.

About the Consumer & Member Benefits of Savepedia(TM):

As I’ve said several times, especially in this economy, everyone is looking for a deal.  Everyone is looking to make “their buck” stretch just a little bit longer.

That is what Savepedia(TM) does.  It will help users find the best offers for their local area, often in their local language.

My traffic building strategy is to just please Google — I’ll make sure everything is Google friendly, and that the content is ‘first class’ to help people stick around and save money on their purchases.

From my traffic building experience, this is what will lead the Traffic Growth Charge:

  • Articles –posted using my article posting method
  • Traffic from Affiliate Links
  • RSS Feeds
  • Optimized Pages
  • Meta Tags –per page
  • Discussions by Members –Site Members who are looking for offers
  • And lastly, real-world advertising –print, media, YouTube and banners

I’ll utilize all of these processes to build the traffic, with one change.  When I started building Rich Sage dot Com, I had to do it all, myself.  Me, myself and I had to do everything.  I didn’t mind.  WordPress was a great help.  I could manage the rest.

In the case of Savepedia(TM), I will be only putting out “blue prints” that I will hand off to professionals to do the rest of the work.  I will be delegating just about all the work I’ve listed above, once I find qualified people to work with.

Since many of the offers are coming from local merchants, I am sure just about every offer made will be linked from their own site to Savepedia(TM).

Once the above tasks are addressed, I’ll work on more real-world advertising concepts like:

  • Coupon Books
  • Custom products, working with Members
  • Gifts/Free Give-a-ways
  • Contests
  • Giant double opt-in mailing list –General
  • Topic specific/local list kept track by Members

In the case of the above list items, all the work will be handled by professionals who are either Members or those I recruit from forums and job posting boards.  When things grow to a certain size, I’ll of course handle a lot of the work in house.

The key aspect of my advertising is “sustainability”  — I don’t like to get involved in things that are not so kosher. I don’t like to trick search engines and their engineers that are helping me.  I don’t like to make hyped up claims that I cannot me.  Everything will be done in a not so Internet marketing style as I get things going.

I believe it’s the strength of the products that will make Savepedia(TM) a winner.

Carpe Diem,
Rich Sage
