Growing Traffic at Rich Sage dot Com:  In the Slowest Quarter

The summer tends to be the slowest part of the year for Internet traffic, at least to the Rich Sage.  That means it’s time to look at what has worked building traffic and do more of it in the coming year(s).

So, what has worked?

Search engine optimization and writing for a few key word phrases.  I’ve picked the top 12 key word phrases, and focused a bit on writing about (and around) them as often as I can.  That effort keeps drawing more and more search visitors.

Then come the ‘direct hits’, which are entries made to the browser when someone uses a bookmark or just types it in.  At this point there’s not much I can do to greatly increase this action.  It’s just brand awareness –the more exposure I create the more direct hits I can get.

JUST BUY TRAFFIC while FOCUSING on ROI:

The other method is purely the best way to build traffic:  Create a product or monetize your site with a membership or affiliate program and BUY all the traffic you’ll need.

This method will always work as long as you maintain a good ROI –Return on Investment for your advertising budget.

In my case, my focus on writing continues with my make money online discussion.  I also have posts such as “ways to make a quick buck” that get a good amount of hits daily.  Well, I meant a bit of humor in the post.  However, the end of the discussion is what really makes money.

And, as I said, there is always the possibility to purchase traffic by monetizing your site in several ways.  In my case I’ve turned to memberships to make serious money.  In the lessons, I offer a membership to teach how to market online, especially with my network of sites and products.

The leading proponent of such work is Savepedia, which I am now advertising throughout the rich sage dot com site. I feel it will be the future leader.  Thus, I do more and more to promote the operation.

As such monetizing yields more revenue, the more I will put back into buying more and more traffic.  That leads to more monetizing… A nice cycle to be part of.
