Increase Page Views in WordPress

Category: MAKE MONEY ONLINE

Take this Simple Step in WordPress to Increase Page Views and Increase Making Money Online

Obviously, the more time a visitor spends on your site, the more potential that you have to earn from that visitors’ experience on your site.

This is a very simple, and highly effective way to keep visitors just a little longer, and increase the pages that they see by making a slight posting adjustment in WordPress.

Here is what you do:

WordPress More Tag

When you are writing a post in WordPress, one that is particularly long, inset the “more” tag from the WordPress Post areas’ “code” tab. By taking this step, you’ll break down a post that is perhaps, two pages long on your first page, to display on it’s intended page. So, what’s displayed on the first page ends here…

Everything else is on page two.

By the way, if you “landed” on this page, press here to go to the main page and see what this is all about…

Of course, the true measure of this step is the results, which you can see below. When I consistently apply this step, I see more page views. It also helps to have good content.

The below image is from a few weeks ago when Alexa showed that I had gotten 1.9 page views per visitor that they tracked. Then I was down to 1.4. Even Google analytics showed similar results. After consistently putting the “more” tag in posts, readers who want to know more need to press the link to the rest of the post and see what else I have to say.

Alexa Page Views Before My Simple Step

The results are very easy to see. Once I implement this simple WordPress feature, there are more page views.

Alexa Page Views After My Simple Step

As all of my readers know, I am a huge fan of WordPress, and it’s my mission to talk about all the little features of WP that we must take advantage of to build our online make money dreams.

I’ll follow up in the coming weeks and months with many more.

I don’t think I’ll agree to it Carpe, the only reason being that I’ve had bad experiences in the past with this. The idea is so good that you’ll jump to it, but when it comes to users, it’s like axing them.

It’s a similar situation to the full feed/half feed thing.

Good post.

Cheers!
