Major Affiliate Program Change

Category: MAKE MONEY ONLINE

Major Program Change to Maxsimo Affiliates:

When I devised the Rich Sage Underground and the Maxsimo Affiliate Program, the objective was to find around 3,000 local Affiliates to work with.  But that is not an easy task at all — I actually new this, and thought that I could present an outstanding opportunity and finding the Affiliates would occur organically.

That didn’t occur.  It was not even close.

What I decided to do was to setup a viral marketing campaign and let the Affiliates compete with each other to fill the local positions.

  • In my original setup, there was a signup to the Rich Sage Underground.
  • Now, the “signup flow” is with the invitation page to the Affiliate program signup to the opportunity to upgrade to a paid membership and all it’s benefits.

More about the evolution of the Maxsimo Affiliate Program…

The OLD WAY:

When I was advertising and marketing to find Affiliates one at a time, I was seeing a tepid response, and on top of that, those who did signup were there for a few days and opted out before the trial period was over.

The end result was that I spent about $60 for recruiting 10 Affiliates, who signed up for a trial, and none stuck around.

The conversions were horrible.  There was no growth.

The NEW WAY:

In the new setup, I’ve lowered my monthly fees greatly.  Originally, it was $47/month for Members.  Now it’s about $8.00 when paid annually or $97/year, $37.00 per quarter or $17.00 per month.

Those are the base rates that include the software and site access an Affiliate needs to build their online income.

There are two primary products — The Rich Sage Underground Membership and the Maxsimo Universal Admin Software.

These two products will generate monthly commissions, and then the business plan will be very similar to what I wrote a few days ago.

It is unfortunate that I cannot find the perfect complement of Affiliates — 3,000 or so that want to represent their local communities.  But, the way I’ll proceed results in a natural selection and elimination of such Affiliates –those who do the work will excel.  Those who do nothing will slowly drop out and be forgotten.

I am sure in the process only 1 in 1,000 or even 1 in 10,000 will do any significant work, but such is life –some do the work, others don’t.  I cannot hold the hand of everyone — I have to setup a system that works for everyone, and allow people to excel within it.  That will make the difference between those who “win” and those who are mere fence sitters.

Carpe Diem,
Rich Sage

Hi Rich Sage,

I have been following your progress for a while now and am a fan but I live in Japan so unfortunately I struggle to do any kind of local business here due to the culture and language problems. But that has nothing to do with my response here.

I can’t help feeling that you have maybe advertised in the wrong place for your affiliates. I am sure you can find plenty of good candidates by advertising in local print media like MLM companies do. Then select and train people to be your local representatives.

There must be 1000’s of great intelligent, sales-oriented, hungry, good communicators around in this credit crunch that don’t have a clue about online business that could be trained and later let loose.

Hello Ned,
I agree with your observations. In fact, in less than 8 hours I’ll re-launch with an active affiliate program that is suited for the masses –even someone is Japan.

You’ll be able to follow the changes via the Rich Sage Underground link.

Cheers,
RS.
