Making It Work

Category: MARKETING

Building an Online Sales Organization

I’ve been trying to setup an online sales organization for many years.  I spent around 4 years working with my own software development.  Then I tried a third-party package.  Just in the past 2 years I spent $15,000.00 dollars on it.

In the end, I’ve thrown most of it away to express what I’ve said at:
http://www.biig.com/wiki/index.php/Affiliates

What Does NOT Work:

  • At this point I worked on finding the affiliates to work with –the process is very time consuming and very very expensive.
  • To find a few thousand affiliates who want to work with my network, ideas and software will take years and cost millions.
  • Perhaps, the worst part of it is that my time is consumed disproportionately in order to find the affiliates. I need to focus on the network and software.

What DOES Work:

  • Allowing the Affiliates to do their own sponsoring via the network.
  • Sure, many will signup and do nothing, but now I have provided them everything to succeed –th0se who do nothing, do so at their own peril.
  • My focus can be on the network and software –Letting the program manage all of the properties, sales and affiliate management.

NEW COMPENSATION PLAN

As part of the new effort, I also setup a new compensation plan where affiliates are rewarded for all of their marketing efforts.  It’s a network marketing plan that has a twist –the more that is done personally, the more than can be earned from direct sales.  So, in the long-term, the representative can build a direct sales network, which of course, works 100% online since there is no personal contact.

I’ve summerized the “flow of compensation” in this figure that I’ve published on the biig.com site.BiiG Directory Commissions
Below #1, I’ve got the setup that is earned by affiliates who start working with the directory.  I’ve greatly reduced the directory listing fees and brought the product numbers down from around 16 to just 4.

The idea is to make things clear, in a matter of minutes –I need everyone who visits the site to “get it” in a matter of minutes.

The highlights of the compensation plan are that the initial income is from a multi-level network, added to that are compensation from many other properties that are 2-tier.

Lastly, as the commissions build, the affiliate can keep building a local membership base that results in very solid, long-term income that can be full-time, while spending only a few hours daily for maintenance.

My goal in all this remains the same –to make sure the network is the best and our software meets the needs and demands of the customers.

What’s NEXT?

Sales, sales and more sales.  I’ll work on selling the higher packages myself and growing the network.  I’ll show the leadership. I’ll show what needs to be done.  As part of that work, I’ve now setup the Rich Sage lessons for free, with a paid component that still gets the same old services for a small monthly fee.  My objective is to provide free lessons to build any online business, with a lot of the lessons keyed in on the use of the products/services that I’ve setup.

The more users will clearly benefit everyone.
Ok, need to get back to work…
