Momentum

Category: BRAND BUILDING, MAKING MONEY

momentum

One of the most overlooked business and personal excellence building influences: Momentum.

I am constantly using momentum working in the stock market. Once momentum starts in a stock –when a trend is established, it is very powerful and it’s not that difficult to “ride it” to great returns.

The same is very true in the make money online world. Today, I was going to skip a post. Then I looked at the stats from yesterday, where the Rich Sage had the best traffic generating day ever. There is no secret to it –just consistent daily work, over many months –it all ads up!

Here are some of the steps I am taking to build that traffic…

My Best Advice to Help You Build Your Site Traffic:

  • Using WordPress and automating interactivity with Google, MSN and Yahoo:  I’ve enabled sitemaps to daily pings.  Everything I can do to help any search engine capture my writing.
  • I try to post to directories with high PR ranks as often as I can.  Every time I run into a list of directories, I go to the top PR sites and see if the RichSage dot com is listed.  If not, I try to get a listing.
  • I’ve setup RSS Feeds, comments, forums –just about everything that I can think of to have more interaction with the Rich Sage.
  • I am posting on two forums –the Warrior Forum and at the Digital Point Forums.  At times I take an article or subject of an article and post at each of the forums about that subject.  I will be doing the same for article sites, but I just haven’t because my time is limited.  I will be providing a writer with content to “spin” about 13 articles out of my single postings.  Then putting those articles in my article publishing setup.
  • Lastly, and I feel this is very important, I am doing all of this  on a consistent basis.

The results are outstanding and I am quickly marching to the 1,000 hits per day threshold.  Actually, I will exceed that this month a few days.  Then I am sure in June I will exceed that mark almost daily.   Many of you might be asking yourself this:  “I don’t have momentum.  I don’t have traffic growth.  How can I get started?”  Well, the answer is that you need to just START!  Don’t wait.  The traffic growth, the incremental growth of readers ONLY STARTS when you have pushed yourself to move forward.  If you just sit there and contemplate what could happen, nothing really will happen.

It’s a bit like buying a lottery ticket on Monday for the weekends drawing.  You dream all week about what you MIGHT do IF you win.  The week goes by.  You dream all you can.  You waste your time away.  Then the weekend comes.  You check your numbers.  Nothing. Nothing changed. Nothing happened. You wasted a week.  You go back to normal life.  This is partly why I play the lottery about once a year, just for fun.  I also fear winning it, because I’ve worked very hard to build things.  I don’t want a “gift” from what I consider a tax on the poor. I want to earn it.  Anyway, I probably end up giving away anything that I win, so, just once a year I’ll play some numbers somewhere…

As for your numbers, getting started is the first step.  If you are setting up your own blog or website, that first day or week, you will have three visitors  –you, yourself and I.  Those three were my first visitors!  Don’t worry about it. You’ve done something few people do –you got started on building a dream.
What counts is what you do after that.  I am doing everything I can to build traffic.  Everything from business cards to upcoming t-shirts to a new site design that goes live next week.  I tell everyone that I meet that “I am the Rich Sage!” Just visit my site.  At the end of the day, you too must do *everything* to build your success.

Then you will see that MOMENTUM will be your friend!

Success & Carpe Diem,
Rich Sage
