Rich Sage Monetizing Progress for June 2008

After about six months of planning, setup work and finally getting the third generation WordPress theme live, I am ready to talk about my monetizing. Basically, monetizing is what I do to earn an income online.

My Monetizing Summary:

MONETIZING METHOD ONE:
Client Services in Investments: This is my core work, on a daily basis, consulting on large investment accounts. That process is going well, and I will continue to apply my investment model, which has worked well for the last century and I am sure it will work for the next!

All of my work is via one online broker, so it qualifies as online income. B>)

MONETIZING METHOD TWO:
LEFT TO DO: As part of my work, I wanted to create a “RICH SAGE SUPER STOCKS” membership area. I am sure that this month I will complete that part, and present my weekly updated membership area where subscribers can learn about my stock picks, price targets and options buys.

I target an annual 60% to 70% return, which I am well on my way to doing this year –as of June, I am near 60% for 2008. Anyway, this membership will be added to the monetizing mix in a week or two.

MONETIZING METHOD THREE:
When I got started online, I looked for the perfect Affiliate Program. I couldn’t find it. So, I’ve gone about creating my own. I feel that the Maxsimo Network Affiliate Program will be my biggest online income generator. I suppose the Rich Sage Underground Community is part of that effort, but I don’t see the “community” being a money maker. Instead, I plan to use any money earned from that part of the network as ‘fuel’ to build more of the products and services that are part of the network. This is in turn greatly benefits all the Affiliates worldwide!

MONETIZING METHOD FOUR:
Lastly, there are various ads running on the site. From time to time I’ll place ads and work with AdSense to build a good monthly commission check. Actually, most of this income I plan to donate via a charity that I am building as part of the Maxsimo Network, helping local individuals and groups that are doing outstanding community services.

MONETIZING METHOD FIVE:
I really don’t know what kind of long-term results this will have, but I’ve setup a Rich Sage Marketplace where I’ll feature the best business building products that I run across on the ‘Net. Please note that the products there are the default items that came with ZEN CART, a free shopping cart.

Of course, all this is a lot of work. I am actually doing two jobs, 5 or 6 days a week at this time, and I don’t mind because it’s the most fun I’ve had at work. I don’t see that workload diminishing until about this winter when I have more staff members who can take over my work, which most of the time means a lot of writing for the network’s operations.

Apart from that, I feel that having 5 monetizing methods is a good mix. I do caution you that advertising is a very “low income” monetizing idea. In my case, I expect the ads served on this site to pay the least. I actually try to minimize the ads –I think by the end of this quarter, 50% of the ads running on this site will promote one of the above monetizing ideas. Since an ad clicked equals a visitor “gone somewhere else” I want to focus on ads that are beneficial to the organization.

Now I need to monetize! Back to work… B>)
