Rich Sage Traffic Growth is Accelerating: My plan for March 2008

The month of February ended with outstanding traffic growth. All this after only 4 months of work. Clearly the number of sites that are referring traffic is increasing, and with it the number of visitors. My goal in March is to nearly double what you see above.
Here are the steps that I am taking to make that happen:

Rich Sage Monetizing Plan Update: 9 Key Elements to Success

I wrote about my monetizing plan way back in November 07, just when I got things started. My long-term plan was not only to utilize traffic to the Rich Sage to earn an income, but build a network of sites and applications to capitalize on traffic.
That plan goes into effect this week, as a new month starts. My goal is to have many thousands of users for the ad and membership network and several membership sites, and this is how I will accomplish that task.
1. Traffic:
It’s no secret that traffic is the life-blood of a successful blog site. Ad to that a mix of proper monetizing plan, and all the benefits of the traffic are realized. In my case I have several mixes of monetizing ideas running at the same time. Everything from the Adsense Ads to my own affiliate program are featured on this site.

I’ve noticed roughly a 20% increase in traffic when I publish to the below sites after each post.
I visit each of the below sites and “Submit” my article after my daily update. The simple step takes only minutes with this setup: I write a text file with the post location (URL), description and title. Then I visit each of the below sites and “copy & paste” what is needed by the publisher.
Publishing to these sites results in:
- Quality link back by post title
- Readers at each site end up at your site reading everything
- There is a possibility that one article can go viral and create a mass of visitors
- Repeated posting create excellent search engine exposure

Rich Sage Business Cards

After thinking about the content for months, I’ve finally sat down to create a business card. In this case it is as the Rich Sage. I probably will look similar to the guy in 40 years, so, I don’t mind. These are actually 2nd generation samples. I’ll go through about 3 or 4 more editing runs until I have something that’s ready to be printed 1,000 times.
Usually business cards have a phone, fax, web address, e-mail and most of the time a physical address. In this case, the Sage is universal and to reflect that, I just put the e-mail and web information.
My problem at this time is that I am not confident which color I should go with –Black letters on crimson or white letters on crimson. I will print out another sample and decide before going to the printers.

Rich Sage Update: E-Book Publishing and Planning
In you make money online monetizing ideas, one of the best ideas you should explore is writing and publishing your own e-book. I am writing several using my own content, which I plan to sell from my RICH SAGE MARKETPLACE, which is under development.
This is a several part series on ideas to help plan, setup, writing and publish an e-book. You can see many more links to other posts at Rich Sage dot com about e-books at the bottom of the post in the area called “You might also be interested in…” section.
Getting Started with your own E-Book:

Over the past weeks I’ve worked on my first major e-book. My goal is to create an e-book that accomplishes the following:
- Introduces readers to my brand
- Introduces readers to my business building techniques
- Exposes the entire affiliate program
- Overall, creates a compelling path for reader success with real-world examples
- Gives access to the Membership Area where only product buyers have access to training materials
All the above reasons are reader advantages. From the Rich Sage perspective, here are my advantages:
- Network exposure creates many new users
- Affiliate program gets a big boost
- All the network sites get traffic increases
- Many of my properties that are interactive, and need user generated content get a steady stream of readers and users
- Lastly, even if the e-book gets copied, the resulting readers will generate many visitors.

Apple Domination Part Two: The Dollar Factor
Just last week I announced that Apple will be a leading tech player, whether you like it or not because of their consumer market dominance in the personal computer and media delivery channels. Today there is a confirmation in that coming from HP as they announced earnings. What is the link between the two companies?
Apple [AAPL] Domination: Part Two…

The link is overseas sales. Simply put demand overseas for services and equipment, often priced in dollars or the local currency, nets great margins for US companies. This trend will be a key to many companies dominating the world markets in 2008, and growth of their income.

Ad Toll Advertising Network Review by the Rich Sage
Ad Toll allows me to sell advertising on RichSage.Com using their network of advertisers, freeing me to focus on content and business building, while they bring the advertisers to me.

Since my traffic is doubling on a monthly basis, I decided to go with Ad Toll for advertising sales, and increase the ad revenue as the traffic grows. My target for full payment for ad services is June 2008. By that time I anticipate a significant reach for the site. By that I mean it will be LESS THAN 12,500 in the Alexa rank. When I get below 10,000, I will slowly start increasing the advertising rates.

Here is what I have Done to Build a Flood of Organic Traffic

First of all there are two kinds of major traffic sources. Those that you pay for in some fashion or that you get free from search engines. The paid traffic comes from pay-per-click to affiliate programs. Some way or another, you’ll pay for this traffic.
The other kinds of traffic is free, from search engines and various links. However, mainly from search engines. I’ve listed the 12 key words that I am focusing on with my entire network of sites –not just the RichSage brand. I’ll get a lot of visitors from those key words not because I’ve optimized this site. Sure that helps. I’ll get visitors because of all the content that I am adding to my sites and brands. That in turn will result in a lot of inbound links and search engines will take notice.

OpenID Review by the Rich Sage

OpenID is an initiative to create a log-in system that uses the same digital identification to access any participating online site.
You may actually have an OpenID and not even know it. If you have an account in any of these organizations, you already have an OpenID account:
- AOL
- LiveDoor
- LiveJournal
- WordPress.COM
And a host of other web properties. What interesting is that when you access an account that you have in any of the existing properties, you can use that account to create your OpenID. That is exactly what I did to create my openID in a few clicks.
OpenID is not controlled by any one organization. It is an open interface to help you log in to over 10,000 web properties. They claim to have over 150 million users.
One of the reasons that I opted to do this sooner than later was to protect my brand, the ‘RichSage’ — I make it a point to register in many places as I can as the ‘Sage’. I don’t want to keep running into others who use my brand name and perhaps, could misrepresent and even make claims as my character becomes popular.
It’s all about creditability.

Most Powerful Site Monetizing Strategy for Business Success that is Often Overlooked
- What we overlook
- How to Take Advantage
- Where to Make Sales
- Follow Up Sales & Recurring Sales
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time this spring, summer and fall talking about the campaign of presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul. What does this have to do with making money online? Well, a lot. Just stay with me…

Dr.Paul’s campaign took a “life of it’s own” on the Internet as people who had the time and knowledge to explore the issues took notice and organized themselves very well. That’s what happened…
It was much more interesting WHAT DIDN’T HAPPEN, and that’s what you need to understand to make money using your online skills.
