Making a Perfect Network

Making a Perfect Network Using the Elements of Multi-Level Marketing and Direct Sales

I’ve studied how to setup a network marketing program (MLM) for years –actually 15 years.  The problem often is that the network starts out building the ROOF!  Usually, a business starts out building the foundation and then grows up from there.Network Business Model

In the case of most MLMs I’ve looked at it’s often the potential earnings that drive the initial product sales.  This is very dangerous as sooner or later the bottom (the foundation) falls apart.  Then the entire business model falls apart.

Starting the Maxsimo Network marketing program that I’ve designed, my innovation is two-fold:

  1. I’ll use product sales commissions to make sure that a foundation is built by many distributors.
  2. I’ll make sure to reward even further those who build a stable business with as many customers as they can.

I think between practicing the above two concepts, I can greatly curb the tendency to “self implode” and address the growth needs of the company.

The reason that #2 above does not get done is because people hate to sell.  Often distributors will sign-up to a program because of a good presentation, video or speaker.  However, later on, when it comes to selling the product or program, nothing happens. People are simply afraid to sell.  I think that personal sales are an even greater fear than public speaking!

I love both.  I have no problem with either.  Selling and public speaking have always been a challenge.  However, I have to setup things to take care of the 99% of the people who don’t want to do either.

My game plan is to accomplish this:

  1. Let the software do as much of the selling as possible.
  2. Enable distributors (Affiliates) to setup all of the products as monetizing units on their website(s)  My assumption is that these Affiliates can at least setup a website.
  3. Lastly, move into the real world with products that bring all of the marketing network together with more expensive products that have better margins and commissions.

Now I need to get back to work setting up the Rich Sage Marketplace at richsage.com.  I am sure having read this that you too are looking for a perfect monetizing method.  You’ll find one here, with the Maxsimo Networks’ >> global affiliate program.

Rich Sage Article Posting Strategy

Rich Sage Article Posting Strategy

In my research on publishing and promotions when an organization starts to promote itself, I looked at press releases and articles. The launch needs to be expressed in a press release, while on-going operations can be explained by articles. I have a list of 125 articles –which I’ll start to write with the next post.

In my article distribution process, the following steps are undertaken:

  • Is it a launch of a service? Yes, then press release too.
  • Then go to the Press Release list (bottom part of post) and send out to as many places as warranted.
  • Then to an article production.
  • Once the article is written, publish to the TOP Article Distribution list that I compiled a while ago — VERY IMPORTANT — I’ll publish one at a time, making changes to an article as each is submitted to a site.
  • It will also go to such sites as Digg and my own Rich Sage blog.

I need to clarify what I mean by my article distribution method, in the “very important” note above.  My routine is to publish the article here as a blog post.  Then to update, improve and add a little content, and go right to the best article distributor.  Then do the same before I publish it again.

Each time I publish, I make changes prior to posting at an article site.  The problem is when volume catches up.  My idea of 125 articles, times 12 versions of each can add up to 1,500 articles.  How can I do all that?  I don’t. I’ll hire a few writers to come up with other versions. I may even use a program to help create many versions of one article.  I’ll perhaps use a software programs to make the first versions that I’ll need. Then the entire set of articles will be updated by a professional writer.

My next post goes right to the first article, which will also be sent of as a press release in one version.

11 Rich Sage Comment: Why did I pick 11?

You may have noticed by now that I’ve started to make many of my posts using 11. But, why “11″ as opposed to some other number? The reason is simple. It’s more than 10.

Well, all my life I’ve worked harder (and hopefully smarter) than the guy next to me. As a result I’ve had to study more, do more and work harder. I would have put the TOP 10 of everything. But, in my case, I had to just go the distance just a bit more and try to find an 11th reason.

“11 Rich Sage” –with that I hope to let everyone know that what they are about to read is a quality, researched and containing the value that the Rich Sage tries to provide.  So, why not 12?  One has to stop somewhere.

Born was the “11″ idea. The Rich Sage will try to have 11 reasons for everything.

Rich Sage Traffic Building Last Quarter of 2007

Category: BRAND BUILDING, MAKING MONEY | No responses yet »

Rich Sage December TrafficResults of Traffic Building for Just 6 Weeks

Towards the middle of November, after getting the ground work set, which I describe here, I started working on traffic building.

First I started with just getting link exchanges, then directory listings and a few other link building ideas. However, all of those ideas are NOT the best long-term strategies.

The arrow above points to Visitors and Sites, which are the key elements to build traffic. The more sites, well, in this case, servers that have something pointing to the Rich Sage site the better. Over the course of this year my goal is to increase this by a factor of 20 to 30 times. I am not going to do it by fooling search engines. I am going to do it the old fashion way, by earning it. By delivering *great* content and then disseminating it via some key outlets.

There are just a few long term traffic building strategies:

  1. The first is to setup a contest.
  2. The next is to work with articles & YouTube videos.
  3. And the last is to work with an Affiliate Program, which I’ve setup.

Well, it’s kind of early to make the claim, but I’ve established a trend. Now the plan is simple –do everything to keep that trend going, and if possible to accelerate the growth of the trend. Once again, #1, #2 and #3 are vital to conquering that task!

The Sum of the Parts…

Category: MONETIZING STRATEGIES | No responses yet »

The Sum of the Parts is Greater than the WholeMaxsimo Logo

The above mantra is something that heard often in the business world.  In my case, it means a lot to a business model that I’ve built slowly.  Well, a bit too slowly so far, but in 2008, I see it accelerating greatly.

In my business model there are 3 main components of monetizing at this time:

  • By this website and selling services from it.
  • By selling a membership in Next Super Stock, the investment site I’ve created.
  • Lastly, by creating a network  called Maxsimo, that’s running an Affiliate Network >> promoting an ad network and memberships of all kinds.

The first two items are ones that only I can do.  The latter is however an item that I need a lot of help getting done.  The idea is to now find the creative talent using the company stock, pay and other performance incentives to hire the talent to “go to the next step”.

So, what is the next step?

There are two options:  The first is the possibility of finding a large working parter, who will infuse a good amount of capital to the company.  The second is to find a venture capital (VC) operation that wants to take a hands off approach and  allow Maxsimo to grow to it’s full potential with the end goal of “going public”.

With either case, 2008 is a critical year because I will need to make sure there are great financial results to support either case.  Always remember, the trend is your friend.

My goal this year is to find the talent to work with to create the optimal growth and diversification of the company.  There is no way that I can do much of this alone.  It’s far better to share the parts with talented people and work on my share of the big picture.

Rich Sage Traffic Engine

Category: BRAND BUILDING, TRAFFIC BUILDING | No responses yet »

  • Referring Sites (54.54%)
  • Search Engines (26.33%)
  • Direct Traffic (19.13%)

When I put up the above stats a few weeks ago, the results were overwhelmingly in favor of traffic from referring sites. In fact, it was near 73%. Now that is shifting to more and more traffic from search engines and direct traffic, as it should be. I am not sure where things will end up, but, the trend is good *and* sustainable.

All I do is keep generating great content and do my share of the work to reach several publishing locations –the rest is the automatic. The search engines discover me. The traffic comes and life online keeps getting better.

What will extend these trends?

In 2008, I aim to deliver!

Civics 101: An Important History Lesson

Civics 101: An Important History Lesson & Happy New Year!!!

Most people around the world make a mistake that America is a democracy –It is a Republic. There is a clear distinction, and knowing that is very important.

Making money online is fine, but I’ve also felt an obligation to “do things right” so, IF you have one hour and you plan to vote in the next election, you need to watch this. It is vital to the future of the Republic.

There are 4 parts to this video. Trust me, that parts 3 and 4 are just as important. Keep in mind the danger to America’s future and to your family’s success is not some radical living in a cave, but the policy of those who are running the Republic.

With that note, I’d like to wish all of my readers a Very, Very Happy New Year! The coming year will present a revolution in America. It has to. Otherwise, all of us are in trouble. I hope it does not come to that. Let’s all do what we need to do and all will be well.

Carpe Diem,

11 Rich Sage Article Writing Techniques

Category: ONLINE SUCCESS | One response so far »

11 Rich Sage Article Writing TechniquesFree Article Directory Article MINT

I am in the middle of traffic building with a rather high goal of reaching several thousand visitors per day during the first quarter of 2008, I am up to my neck in article writing as part of it, but what else to do? My experience is there there is no sustainable way to build good web site traffic without doing the old and proven methods of publishing content and expanding to reach more and more readers.

Clearly the intent of all that work is to create links from just about any place so that the search engines and individuals pay attention to the content. In order to accomplish that I’ve come up with 11 techniques that I try to follow with each article to give it the maximum exposure.

Rich Sage List of 11 Article Writing Techniques:

1. AIDA: I talked about Attention, Interest, Desire and Action –these are elements that are a must for building traffic using articles. The AIDA formula works very well. I wrote an article just about that, which is posted at the free article directory, ArticleMint. >> I think the article will let you know all the details you’ll need to follow in article writing.

2. Article Writing Software: There is software out there that allows you to create one article and then “spin” or “manufacture” many versions of that article. Here is one such program called WordFlood. I have not used this, but plan to install and test it in the next month once my new workstation is setup. I don’t like to do a lot of software testing on my main workstation. It’s just asking for trouble. I’ll post a review of WordFlood when it’s time.

3. Publishing to a Select Number of Directories: That reminds me to update my list of Article Submission directories. Well, the biggest is EzineArticles.com, which often results in getting an article ranked high in Google searches. Then at the end of the list is my humble creation, the ArticleMint. I don’t suggest that you submit to 400+ article sites. That really does not work. My suggestion is to pick the TOP 11, which I’ll review in a few days and concentrate on success within those publishing areas.

4. Writing for Humans vs. Machines: One caution you’ll need to address is the issue of who you are writing for. If you are focused on the various elements of search engine optimizing and various techniques to fool Google, that’s going to show up in your writing quality. My suggestion is to write for people –who will then see you has a good source for learning and send you more and more visitors.

5. Writing as a Human vs. Being a Machine: This goes back to the question, quality vs. quantity. Above I suggested to stick with quality in the places that you post articles. My suggestion here is to stick to your own writing. At the extreme edge, I’d get something like WordFlood to increase the speed of writing. However, I would *never* allow a program or application online to write your articles. It’s far better to write 26 great articles a year then write 260 articles that read like a machine produced it.

6. Daily Work and Be Consistent: I must admit that this is far easier to list here than practice. My lesson for this comes from the Comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who did this when he had writers block. He devised a calender and forced himself to write daily. Then he tried to see how long he could go before skipping a day. Next thing is that he’d find times when he wrote everyday for 30 days and so on… The point here is that MOMENTUM is vital and often is the difference between mediocre success and just getting by.

7. Do Not Make Too Many Links and Never Affiliate Links: In the body of the article, you’ll find that many article directories will not allow ANY links. The only place that you can put links will be the “resource box” at the bottom of the article. In that location you may be allow one or two links, depending on the article site.

8. Keep Your Writing the Best it Can Be! This is something that I decided upon a week ago in my article Quality vs. Quantity. I have seen some blog sites that are trying to post 3 or 4 times per day. I read some of those articles and they are often tabloid blogs vs. true quality posts to help readers. I want to help readers! To help readers and build a great following, write well, write daily and post when you have great content.

9. Broadcast Your Writing to Outlets: What are outlets, as oppose to article directories? By outlets, I mean by sites like Digg. I will have to compile a list of sites that are what I call publishing sites. These are generally sites that have a community that reads and comments or rates the article that you write.

10. Create a Brand or Use Your Own Name: This is the hottest advice I can give you. Why? Imagine a stadium full of people with bland black raincoats on. Then imagine you going into that stadium wearing a blue or red coat. What would be the effect? Would someone watching a broadcast of that notice you? You bet. That’s the power of a brand. The more people who are watching, the better you’ll get their attention with a brand. Put your brand every where on your articles. Make it known who you are. Keep in mind that this is why you’ll need to work on quality.

11. Provide Value: Lastly, there is what I feel is the granddaddy of why many have trouble building online success –They forget the the cardinal rule of everything, especially when it comes to business success, is that you need to provide value for your readers. The reader is going to use their time and sit at the pc to read your content. The reader is looking for entertainment, to solve a problem or to learn. Have to help them accomplish that? When you consistently provide value to everyone that visits your site, you’ll be a success in no time.

I hope the above list is a guide that you’ll use often. I have written it not only to help you, but to remind myself what to do and not do. I am the first person to follow my advice.

Rich Sage Affiliate Introduction Video

Category: MAKING MONEY | No responses yet »

Rich Sage Affiliate Introduction Video:

Over the holidays I had an audio track created for the Maxsimo Network’s introduction.  I then uploaded the video I’ve created using Camtasia Studio to YouTube.  The video will run in several places on the network, but it will be hosted on YouTube.  The advantage this that this is a video that is general in content. I don’t really mind who will “embed” it.

Here is the Maxsimo Network Introduction:

This is the signup link to the Maxsimo Network.   I suppose this is version 1.0.  I’ll have to find a professional to do the next one.  I don’t like those videos that show fast cars, boats and mansions promoting this type of stuff.  So, I’ll have to find a better way to address the message and motivate those who join the network.

Stay Tuned –The fun is just starting. Rich Sage

11 Site Monetizing Tips by the Rich Sage

Category: MONETIZING STRATEGIES | No responses yet »

11 Site Monetizing Tips by the Rich Sage to Help Make Money Online

As the Rich Sage I like to present site monetizing ideas with two intentions –The first is to earn immediate income, and the latter is to earn long-term residual commissions that are dependable.

Let me get to the first few that are shot-term, immediate type of commissions that you should work on as you get your site traffic ‘ramped up’.

SHORT TERM INCOME GENERATORS (1 to 7) The REST ARE LONG TERM:

  1. Pay per Click Ad Network:  These are Google and AzoogleAds type of networks that display ads based on your content and earn you commissions every time an ad is clicked.  There are some advantages being that you don’t need to waste time selling ads, while you focus on your content.  Furthermore, a network such as Google Adsense do pay a good percentage of their own fees to you, thus efficiently managing the transaction.

The drawback is that the commissions are low and in order to earn a good amount of money you need traffic.  Another, faux pau is that when someone clicks an ad, they are leaving your site!  That’s not so nice.

  2. Ad Network:  These are networks such as Commissions Junction, Google, and many others that display contextual ads on your site and pay you by the CPM or ads displayed per thousand.  Ouch!  That takes a lot of traffic. There are a lot better ways to make money for us bloggers that don’t have millions of visitors per day.
  3. Pay Per Action Ad Network:  These are rather special ads that advertisers pay for only when an ad delivers a customer or lead.  These ads given the right context can pay a lot better.  Take for example the following scenario:  I write a review about product ABC and tie that with a display of that advertisers ad leading to the online store.  That type of ad pays a lot better commissions.  I am planning to do just that for 2008 using my reviews and a marketplace that I’ve developed.  I’ll write a review, link it to a sales area for the product and also feature it in my marketplace.
  4. Setup Review Offers:  This is similar to the above, but does the following:  I review a product that someone offers me to review.  Then I do the same as above.  Keep in mind that I have a policy to only publish a review of a product IF it equals 5-stars.
  5. Setup Special Lessons:  Again, this is something that is unique to Internet Marketing –developing a series of lessons that cost $97 or some special price (per month) and is limited to 100 or 250 or some small amount of people.  Then get the subscribers through your traffic or using pay per click advertising.
  6. Affiliate Program in a Niche: Find a good niche.  What is a niche?  It’s simply a problem in life that you’ll find a solution/help for.  Any disease, any condition, any hobby, any idea of value is something that is a niche.  I have old site with Business Credit Building info. That is a niche.  You need to setup an authority site for it. Then you need to join as many forums as you can care to join and work on promoting your niche.  To find forums in your niche, just go to Google and search “<niche type> forums” and you’ll find many.
  7. E-Book Sales:  This is a monetizing idea that I’ve tried for a short time and it works very well.  I will be going right back to it with my Rich Sage Marketplace where I’ll feature some of the old books that I’ve written on business credit building, making money online and online business success.  Another great idea is to use networks such as ClickBank, PayDot.COM and a relative newcomer, CLICK 2 SELL.  I will be using all three of these networks to sell my ebooks.  I’ll report back to you on how it goes.
  8. Income from a Membership Site:  Now let’s get into some of the ideas that make money and that generate income streams lasts longer than normal.  I am talking about a membership site where you generate monthly, quarterly or even annual membership fees using Paypal, ClickBank or even your own merchant account.
  9. Income from a Membership Site Network:  This I think is a fantastic way to earn a long-term commissions.  The idea was so good that I started such a network, which is running via biig.com.  The idea is simple.  There will be hundreds of thousands of membership sites.  My objective is to build a network to act as an MASP –Membership Applications Services Provider.  And help membership sites market their products and services.  For example, I’ll market my Private Membership Lessons, my normal membership lessons (free) and even my investment membership area at NEXT Super Stock through this network.
  10. Mailing List(s):  This is the granddaddy of site monetizing, but now it has a twist.  Sure its a perfect way to site-monetize.  Just do everything to add people to your site’s mailing list.  Then provide quality content to them, and updates about once a week.  Offer subscribers everything from bonuses to any incentive you can think of to get them to subscribe.

Then there is another way to add readers to a “list” using RSS.  Setting up a reader base using RSS reader is perfect.  I’ve done that using Feedburner, which you see running via the orange button above.  Once again, provide great content and many will subscribe to your RSS reader feed.

  11. Dominate a Niche, any Niche:  This is not a short term solution, but it can still be done for the long-term, and it is precisely what I am doing building for the long run.  I am in the Internet Marketing (IM) niche with this blog. I bet there are a million other “make money online” blogs that have sprung up.  So, how will I succeed?  Using a brand.  When you are in a sea of blue coats at a ball game, the idea is to wear a RED COAT.  That’s precisely what I am doing dressed as the Rich Sage.  Obviously, it is rather easy for me to be that guy, as I live it!

I plan to update this list with more precise information as my work in the make money online niche grows.  So, stay turned or as I suggest, just subscribe to my RSS feed to keep in touch!

Success, Rich Sage
