12 Web Sites You Can Take to the Bank!

Category: MAKING MONEY | 2 responses so far »

Rich Sage Review of 12 Web sites that can generate outstanding income mainly using public software and an average hosting account!

My specialty is to help you develop an online business while spending very little time and money getting stated. To help you achieve that goal, I’ve written this short report. Welcome to the Rich Sage’s style of business building –keeps costs very low, and build a business online that you can “take to the bank”.

I’ve spent a lot of research time looking into the best ways to earn an income from online resources. One of the best resources for Internet marketing (IM) success is to read the posts at the Warrior Forum. Many of the ideas that I’ve suggested below, mostly which I’ve learned from the Warrior Forum are being followed on the Rich Sage’s make money online blog. Additionally, you’ll find resources at the Sitepoint Marketplace and the Digital Point Marketplace which have resources, outstanding information and personal experiences of online Entrepreneurs. You can read a lot about the below ideas at each of the above forums.

I’ll now expand on some of the details I’ve learned:

  1. DEVELOPING a NICHE SITE USING WORDPRESS: I think a niche site that discusses everything about one topic and uses WordPress to manage the details of the site is very powerful. Take for example a site about a disease, or a condition like Diabetes. The trends are alarming and helping people deal with it and overcome it can be powerful. Then you can use everything that is sold in that niche to monetize your site traffic. AND, all this can be managed using WordPress. If you are new to the world of WordPress, I have a series of lessons at YouTube.>>
  2. BLOG or WEBSITE with AFFILIATE PROGRAM REVIEW: Everyone these days has an Affiliate Program and products that are market through them. My suggestion is to setup a site that reviews these programs and products. Such a site running on WordPress can be setup in days. The site monetizing plan is to use a careful mix of advertisers, affiliate programs and your own e-books for example to develop readers, a mailing list in your niche and a perfect mix of site monetizing..
  3. CELEB or EVENT BLOG: Create a WordPress blog around a famous or up-and-coming celebrity. You can also use an event that’s popular around your city or state to do the same. You provide information to those who search for event details. I’ve found out that people who spend the time to search celebs also tend to click ads a lot. This is a pretty big hint on how to monetize your site. I don’t want to put any links here but a discussion site on Paris or Britney will send a lot of teen traffic your way. Ok, I’ve said it. Need to move on…
  4. PRODUCT or THEME BLOG: Extending the above idea, you can also go into products and themes. What products are hot? I can tell you that many products from Apple are HOT! So, you may want to create a site discussing the iPhone or a contest site for an iPhone. The ideas are endless. You can also create a site talking about the negative aspects of a device. Take for example this site that take-off on the popular BlackBerry. This is a contrary idea –take the negative and feed on that to add even more stuff to the life of an addict.
  5. DATING WEBSITES: This is a topic I know about first hand after filling out a lot of profiles. There seems to be three types of sites. The first is the totally free model that depends on advertisers to foot the bill. Sites like Plenty of Fish and Connecting Singles are running on a 100% ad model, where the ‘matchmaking’ does not cost anything for the user. Other sites like match.com allow you to create a free profile, even upload pictures, but makes you pay for selective searches and correspondence with the ladies. I am sure there are other models –such as ones that are exclusive and you have to pay even to create a profile and then are allowed ‘in’ only when accepted. My conclusion on this is to create a site that adds value to the member. What can you do to make the members’ experience better? What can you do to make the members experience more successful? When you make that type of progress users find you and your ad model will work.I’ve seen the Adsense checks put up by Plenty of Fish and they amount to $10,000 per day on occasion just from members clicking on the ads. Not a bad business model The developer claims that it’s still run from his bedroom with the help of an assistant or two.
  6. PAY PER CLICK WEBSITES: I’ve got a good example in Pay Per Click website in the free article directory that I’ve created here. This site gets a decent amount of traffic daily and often people will exit using an Adsense ads that are running on the site. The key to this site is more and more articles and visitors, which it’s steadily building. Believe it or not, the program running the site is free. You’ll find a link to that on the site. And that’s about the cost of running it, along with a few minutes to approve the articles. I’ll keep building the site as I talk about it and link to it.
  7. AFFILIATE or EBOOK PRODUCT SALES WEBSITE: The main way to earn off of such a site is to find good digital products to sell from places like ClickBank. You can create a traffic campaign from AdWords that leads to the sales pages of the product. Keep a close eye on your conversion rates from these campaigns. It’s easy to find yourself a few hundred dollars “in the hole” if you take your mind off of it for a week or two. Your objective here is to make the greatest ROI that you can, and to do that you have to closely monitor the key words/phrases that you use to generate traffic and the effectiveness of the traffic. There is a rather easy way to do that –Just use Google’s Analytics.
  8. ONLINE GAMING SITE: Here you can take two paths –firstly, you can create a site that discusses an existing game and how players can better succeed in that game. You’ll need a lot of personal skills to accomplish this. The second approach is to create your own game and sell advertising in that gaming niche. For example, if it’s an adventure game set in your city, you can sell advertising related to that. This is very similar to the dating sites. Since the user is there to find a date, you can sell a lot of advertising for other dating sites. Anyway, with gaming, it’s a matter of identifying the needs of your gaming niche and then feeding them what they need. If your running an urban jungle game, perhaps, you can sell advertising on the store fronts of the virtual city.
  9. FORUMS & SOCIAL NETWORK: These are two growing areas where content can be generated from users and advertising displayed accordingly. As far as expenses setting up such sites, you should look into software such as forum software that is free. The most widely used is called phpbb. On the social network side, you can use the same software that runs Wikipedia –wiki software –to do the same. Wiki software can run any type of collaboration site. It’s rather unbelievable that all this is free, but that’s what it’ll cost you –Nothing! You’ll find Wikipedia software via this link…
  10. SETUP YOUR OWN MEMBERSHIP SITE: These are sites that charge a fixed monthly fee for content that’s protected by membership software. I run such a site for free as my membership site. If you are looking for such software, just search “membership sites” at the richsage.com and you’ll find my review of the leading software.

Membership sites are very special because they tend to generate sales that have recurring monthly revenue. When the membership is very good, that revenue can last for years, with the same members resulting in a very stable business plan.
  11. WEB DIRECTORIES: Once again, this is an online classic. There are thousands of web directories, but that does not mean you can come up with a unique solution to the worlds’ various problems. Recently, I found a free solution in Pligg, which is an open source content management system that can maintain a site I’ll call “THINK BIIG” and feature a directory for start-ups. I am sure that once you get down to it, you too can come up with dozens of ways to launch a directory that screams with revenue from advertisers.
  12. ONLINE WEB TOOLS: This includes short URL services, sites that do PR checks, to spell checkers, images editors & makers, file converters and a host of other services geared mostly at the webmaster world.Various webmaster tools for tracking webstats to link popularity are perfect for driving traffic to creating repeat visitors. What’s great about this type of service is that visitors will return to your site to use these tools over and over, and may even write about them in e-books, articles, etc. Take for example, AddME.COM, which features several tools that have helped them build a mailing list that is over 800,000 strong and represents one of the best monetizing plans out there.

That’s my list this time around. I hope to keep updating it, so, make sure to bookmark it and return here to see what is featured.

Regardless of the type of site that you setup, you’ll find free software to run it. For example, you may not be able to find an open source software to create your urban jungle game, but you can also create a blog for the same or a forum for the members and all the software running that is free.

You just need to experiment with the perfect way to set it up!

Quality vs. Quantity

Quality vs. Quantity in Articles: What Really Matters by the Rich Sage

Last week I spent a considerable amount of time reading blogs from my competition in the make money online venue.  Two of the blogs posted several times a day and even had ‘guest’ posting articles, updates, etc.  The latter had posted about every-other-day a very high quality article that had very good opinions in the comments.

After all the reviews of some other sites it was a easy conclusion to come to:  Quality has much more importance than quantity, with one exception.

Let me first explain the quality note — Quality articles, blog updates are those that presents valuable information  that readers can use to increase traffic and income from their online businesses.

The other type of content is mostly fluff with videos and images accompanied by text that amounts to just tabloid content that benefits no one.  It seems that these type of sites rely on the need for people to get the latest buzz about their favorite star or latest breakup and career derailment of the month.  Nothing more.

Not the type of frequency that I want to pursue.

At the end of the day, the quality posts are vital and that evident in many of the blogs that I spent reading.

Ron Paul Update #5

Ron Paul Campaign Raises over $6 Million!!!  Santa came early for Ron Paul…

Ron Paul Fundraising

The numbers are staggering:

  • Over 25,000 new donors
  • Approximately $6.3 million raised online today.
  • More than 3,000 donations per hour, apart from Sunday morning, while most slept.
  • Surprisingly, the average again was $103.00 –matching the amount from Nov. 5th.

By the time this “frenzy” stops tonight the total raised will exceed $18 Million.  I am sure the Monday morning news stories will cover it with that amount mentioned.  We’ll have to wait for the official figures as this will set many records!

Lastly, my question from earlier:  Have the postal mail amounts been added?  I don’t think so…

Ron Paul Reaches $18 Million Online Funds Raised

This is the effectiveness of the Internet.  Starting with very little –nothing more than a good policy and message to the voters, the buzz was built over 8 months using everything that one sees at RonPaul2008.com >>   This is online success at it’s best.

Ron Paul Update #4

Category: BRAND BUILDING | No responses yet »

Rich Sage Update of the Ron Paul Campaign — An Internet Success with donations now averaging about $330,000 per hour!Ron Paul Update for 6PM

Ok, the graph from RonPaulGraphs.com >> is still going pretty much vertically at about 3,500 people donating per hour about $100 dollars each.

That will then equal the total raised on the 5th of November in a few minutes.

Leaving 5.5 hours to reach over $6 million, which is a good target.

My only other request for HQ: Have you added all the checks sent???

Ron Paul Update #3

Rich Sage Update of the Ron Paul Campaign — An Internet Success with donations now averaging about $330,000 per hour!Ron Paul Campaign

It looks like before the all important evening news the funds raised will be more than the last surge, the 5th of November.

To break that record Ron Paul needs $4.4 million and change raised.

With 3 hours to go before most nightly news starts, the record looks like it will fall.  What’s just as great is that 6 more hours at the pace of $300k+ per hour are there.  That means another $1.8 Million to $2 Million can come through the online donations.

Then the day can end with around $6 Million plus donations via postal mail that I hope will be added today or tomorrow, to make the final tally around $7 Million.

Rich Sage Update of the Ron Paul Campaign — An Internet Success, with Accelerating Donations

Donations vs. the 5th of November

The previous line was nearly verticle.  How could the numbers be even better?

Clearly they are and the difference is that more servers are handling more donations.

The green area shows the previous 5th of November record, with this image taken from RonPaulGraphs.com >> The black area shows how more donations are taken and adding to the final tally.   As I write this, the donations are coming in at around $330,000 dollars per hour.

When that figure is compared with the 5th of Nov, which was very steady as the day progressed, I see that happening today too.  The $300k per hour will continue until nearly the end.  The campaign should take in about $6 Milliion to $7 Million at this rate.

Rich Sage Update of the Ron Paul Campaign — An Internet Success

Ron Paul Fundraising Takes Off At midnight, Sunday AM, the campaign to raise another record started by an army of online supporters.

Will all the talk, mailing lists, YouTube videos and countless websites add up to raising a record for Ron Paul’s 2008 campaign?

Without a doubt.

The campaign that is using the Internet better than any other candidate is not doing it by his own plan, but the plans of hundreds of thousands who are listening to his message.

I’ll post a few more updates as I think the numbers are going to be near double what was done last time a campaign was launched online.

Update on the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign

Category: BRAND BUILDING | No responses yet »

Rich Sage Update on Ron Paul’s 2008 Presidential CampaignRon Paul 16th Dec. Update

The Ron Paul for President 2008 Campaign >> got started mainly online.  When Ron Paul ran in 1988 he came in third in the election and raised about what he’s averaged for 3 or 4 days online this time around.  I should add that in the 1988 election, he had less than 600,000 votes nationwide.

Back then your money was not in trouble as it is now.  And since then the US/UN policy has led to about 1 million children’s deaths in Iraq.  Never has America needed real leadership.  I’ll leave the political story out of this conversation.

Anyway, I’ve followed the campaign very closely because Dr. Paul is not by any means the typical candidate.  His ideas take a lot more reading and understanding than the made-for-TV candidates and their advisers.

But, how does one get the attention of the masses in this day and age, without big bucks?

My contention was that only in this day and age with the Internet new media and the ability of anyone to research and make up their minds can such a candidate even exist at such a level.  So, the Internet has created a better playing field. It’s not even yet. But, it is a great generator of ideas and those that are good, live on, to reach the real world.

In the past 20 years, every election had leaders who espoused great virtue and equally good policy.  However, in the drowning of the media and general “noise” they never got their message out since you had to read around 30 minutes of material to understand why their policy ideas were better than the made-for-TV runners.

None of what’s happening with Ron Paul could happen without the Internet media machine where individuals take over and power flows BOTTOM UP.

Indeed, it’s a new era.  I’ve learned so much about Internet brand building from the Ron Paul campaign.  Of course, given a great product (a man of integrity) all this is about time.

I’ve put up the image that shows as of about 6PM on Saturday the 15th of December, $11.5 million raised for this quarter.  I am now wondering what that amount will be by this time on Monday?  $16 Million?  $18 Million?  I will not be surprised that by quarters’ end the total reaches $20 million and Ron Paul has enough money to gain the name recognition that he needs from the non-Internet crowd.

My YouTube Strategy

Category: BRAND BUILDING | 3 responses so far »

Using YouTube to Deliver Traffic

My goal working with YouTube is to build the Rich Sage brand into a provider of lessons that help everyone.  My first attempt to develop a video failed when it was too long. Then I put the video in the previous post, and it’s not the best.  However, I don’t mind as it’s just a start.  It felt good just getting #1 out of the way.

I’ll devide the lessons into three categories –Basic, Experienced and PRO.  The basic and experienced ones will run on YouTube, while the PRO ones will be available via my free membership.

This strategy also fits in with my goal to explode the traffic to RichSage.COM by reaching several article sites, creating the Rich Sage 2008 Contest and the videos.

I’ll get just ONE SHOT at this and my aim is to reach the threshold during the holidays.

My First YouTube Video Lesson

Category: BRAND BUILDING, WORDPRESS | No responses yet »

Rich Sage YouTube Video Lesson

Video is the way to go. I plan to outline lessons using text but show everyone what to do using video.  The basic stuff will just be public on YouTube, as I’ve done below.  More custom, exact lessons, that are researched and important for my members will be private via the FREE member area.

This is my first video. It’s been 4 months since I started this process. I’ll keep going and hopefully, sometime soon, doing the video updates will be as easy as the text updates.

Success,
Rich Sage
