Monetizing Madness

Category: MARKETING | No responses yet »

My Revisit to the Monetizing Plan for Rich SageRich Sage

Just yesterday I revised the ad sales area for the Rich Sage.  The traffic is growing nicely after a month of the basic setup stuff that I talked about.  I see it reaching 1,000+ this quarter.

The options for monetizing are:

  • My membership Affiliate Program
  • Running various ad networks here
  • Selling/Having a Marketplace for the Rich Sage
  • Participating in several Affiliate Programs

That study starts today as I explore all possible traffic monetizing ideas.  Obviously, the ones I am confident about are already running, but I need to optimize how I am presenting them.  For example, I made a simple “switch” and my memberships dropped. The switch was to link the blog to the membership ’sales’ page. Originally, I just linked to the signup page like this. >>

In this simple test, the signup process depicted to the top, right pulled in much better than a long sales page.  WHY?

Now the link goes to http://www.therichsage.com/free.html >> and this switch pretty much killed the signup process.  What I learned is this:  The casual reader here does not want to be sold *again* when they want to join the membership.  They just want to get it.  I’ll now put on my “TO DO” list to quickly switch back to the old link site wide.

The lesson here is that don’t assume when you have  good sales, it cannot be better.  AND if sales are not that great, don’t assume the product is not good.  When you believe in what you do, just keep ‘tweaking’ all aspects of the sales/signup process until you optimize everything about it.

Traffic Trend Continues

Category: BRAND BUILDING | 2 responses so far »

Site Visitor Trend Growing Fast

Yesterday I managed to complete an article that was then submitted via a service to about 260 sites.  The service had a list of 450 article directories.  However, given that most are based on category, the submission went out to about half of them in the business categories that I picked.

The first thing that I did upon getting to my pc was to check how the overall traffic growth was going, as I didn’t “publish” anything extra in the past few days.  Well, that was not a problem.  I am still on track.

So, what is left today:  To get about 3 or 4 more articles done.  Then I have to manually publish them.  My routine is going a bit like this…

  • Article Submission, Manually
  • Article Submission, via Service
  • Posting in other Make Money Blogs
  • Participation in the WF Forum
  • Investigating more traffic building methods and WP plugins
  • Working on the Affiliate Program
  • Checking in on many of the admin functions that only I can do

All these continue as my 30-Day 1,000+ visitor challenge continues.

Automated Article Submission

Category: ADVERTISING | No responses yet »

Using an Automated Article Submission ServicesArticleMINT

I reluctantly subscribed to an automated system that “publishes” my article in about 450 sites. Yesterday I queued an article only to find out today that nothing happened. Further review of the site’s admin area showed that I had missed a few steps — the first was that I needed to create an email address to receive all the account confirmations, and the second was that I actually needed to confirm every publishing account that I was going to use to submit. Ouch!

That was 450 mouse movements times around 6 per confirmation. So, after 2 hours and 2,700 mouse clicks and movements, I was done. The reason I don’t believe in automated systems such as this is because of what can happen next: I can submit around 100 articles now to all the directories.

How effective is that? Well, I am about to find out. This is purely a test as I cannot pass up. It’s a win-win situation. If it works, traffic can surge. If it doesn’t I can chalk up to a lesson of over expectations and go back to the old way.

What is the old way? Well, that too I am doing. The old way of submitting articles is selecting just 10 such services and submitting them manually each day. I am doing that AFTER I take each days’ article and editing it to make a two new ones — One for ArticleMINT, the site I’ve setup. The second for the list of article sites I’ve selected.

As you may have noted, Rich Sage traffic has surged in the last week. When I checked today, it had increased greatly and I first thought it was because of the articles. I was not. So, in the coming days I’ll check again where the traffic is originating to find the effectiveness of auto-submissions and manual submissions to the article directories.

It’s a long task list. Back to work!

Advertising On Rich Sage

Advertising On RichSage.ComRich Sage Advertising

I’ve gotten a lot of complements for the Rich Sage site, especially, after the revision. I am also asked very often reviews products and services. Internet Entrepreneurs really want to build their traffic. I ‘ll find the solutions that they need. If I cannot find them, I’ll make the solutions!

Anyway, all this buzz is building traffic. As I said earlier today, my target was 1,000+ visitors daily, and I thought I’d get there in January. Now it appears that December is much more realistic.

That means two things: I’ll keep researching better and better ways to monetize the traffic. That results in more and more readers. I can add a better advertising channel to the site.

That is what I spent doing today. And here it is. The Rich Sage Advertising Area, new and improved for your consumption. My goal is to reach the $0.25 cents per visitor, which is a very realistic target.

Building Traffic

Rich Sage Visitor Traffic Building Rich Sage Traffic to 1,000+ this Quarter

For the past week traffic at the Rich Sage make money site has averaged over 300 per day.  I have predicted that it will be around 500 by the end of the month and 1,000 by the end of December.

In order to accomplish I hired a person to “talk about the Rich Sage” at other blogs. She was also going to publish the Rich Sage information on several directories and submit articles as well.  The offer she made was to make 350 “connections” to the Rich Sage.

I was not going to sit back and watch that. I also planned on submitting about 5 articles a week to my TOP 10 List of Article Sites.

In order to go one step further, I purchased a membership in an article submitting site that also creates several versions of the articles.  I will discuss how successful that was when my traffic study concludes for “Chapter One” in the next week of two.

The article submitting site sends the articles to about 425 publishing sites.  I’ll discuss all of my activities as the week “wraps up” ahead of the Thanksgiving Day, USA.

Rich Sage Study: Article Submissions

Rich Sage Study: Using Articles to Build Traffic

Today I wrote my first article. Big Deal, you say!  Well, it is. I’ve pondered doing it for weeks, and now I cracked out a good one.

Then I did something that was purely a test.  I posted the article in a service that allowed me to make several hundred duplicates of it and then it posts each of the articles to a seperate directory.  I have no idea how effective it will be, but someone has to test.  I have.

I’ll post a follow up in the coming weeks about the experience.  Now I just have about 130 more articles to go…

So, where is the article?  It’s posted here, at the Article MINT! >>

I also posted about 10 of the best article directories that I felt would do a great job for the sage. Sometime, during the week I’ll post to those directories a different article using the one I sent out today.

So, the hard core testing to build the traffic over 1,000 visitors per day has started.

Join the fun. Grab a RSS feed and I’ll update you daily.

Rich Sage Review: Warrior Forum

Rich Sage Review of the Warrior Internet Marketing Forum
http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/

Warrior Forum
Sometimes when you do a lot, you get lucky.  That is the way I started at the Warrior Forum just 9 months ago.  Although, I had over 10 years online experience, building tools and services, I had no marketing experience.

I came across the Warrior Forum by accident and made the usual mistakes for a few weeks.  I was trying to sell things, but after a while realized that it’s all about “helping people”.

Just a month later I became the Rich Sage Brand.

Since then I’ve posted on about 3,000 topics, and I’d say 95% of those were to help people.  The other posts were on a few sales projects.

I’d estimate that there are several dozen well known marketing forums on the Internet.

What makes the Warrior Forum great is:

  • The way spammers are kept out by Moderators who actually do a good job.
  • The rest of the community ‘falls in line’ and helps everyone.
  • Lastly, all of my work cannot be done alone.  I’ve found a lot of people to work with at the Forum.

What led me to spend a lot of time is my commitment to longevity.  I am not there to post today and disappear tomorrow. My goal was to help people, get to know a few Warriors and perhaps, even meet a few (face to face) over time and then build a team of people to work with.

I am happy that I’ve found such a place without wondering endlessly lost on the ‘Net.  The traffic coming from the forum readers is not bad at all.  As I’ve said many times, every visitor counts.  That’s why I tell everyone from school kids to retirees about the Rich Sage Wisdom!

This leads me to a question posted today in the comments area:  How to generate visitors from a forum?  The answer is easy.  Readers of forums are looking for help to a problem most of the time. As simple as it is, help them solve their problem and you’ll find many visitors, many followers who will turn to you for solutions!  It’s simple as that.

Problem –> Solution.  Help create that type of environment and you can become an online success.  This is not only in the IM niche, but any type of niche.  All you have to do is FIND the TOP 10 FORUMS in the niche and become known as a “solution provider”.  At this point it helps to have a blog or website where the reader can go for more information.  Then, don’t try to sell a bunch of things, but legitimitely work on helping everyone “find the solution” they are looking for.  In my case, it’s pure Making Money Online Wisdom!

A Few More Special Reasons to Join the Warrior Forum:

  • First of all Membership at the Warrior Forum is Free.
  • You can search the forum via the site’s search feature or via Google.  Either way, you’ll have 95% of your marketing questions answered.  If you don’t find an answer, then ASK!  You’ll find a lot of people genuinely willing to help resolve your problem. I am one of them.
  • Lastly, there are a few sales channels that allow you to market products for a few dollars. The Warrior Forum WSO AREA (Warrior Special Offers) allows any Member in good standing the ability to sell their ebook, software, etc. for just a few dollars. At the time of this writing it’s just $20.00!  It’s not unusual to sell a product that generates $1,000+ in sales with the very small ad fee.  Where else can you do that?  The forum also has a market place that you can use to sell mainly ebooks all the time.

One last tip:  If you are just getting started online with Internet Marketing, your own home based business, and you’re looking to make money, the Warrior Forum has a wealth of knowledge all for free.  Once you register, you can set the forum to show you the most popular topics over the past year.  You’ll see several outstanding Internet Marketing start-up plans.

Interestingly, what I am doing here (Via the Rich Sage Membership) is optimizing what I’ve learned and helping my students STEP by STEP –basically, going a bit further in the How To succeed making money online.

Success, Rich Sage

RichSage Contest

Rich Sage Contest to Celebrate 1,000+ Visitors Daily

Rich Sage Contest Since my traffic building tests are going smoothly, it’s time to do more.  I can see a direct effect from my f0rum posting, RSS feed traffic, directory submissions, articles writing (that’s just got under way) and a whole host of other ideas, I’ll plan the next stage of my promotions: The Rich Sage Contest

All these traffic sources have picked up:

  • Forum traffic
  • Review exchanges
  • Directory Traffic
  • Rss Feeds
  • Search Traffic

What I have not expanded with is emailing lists and contests.   The mailing lists pick up in January when there is an update to SendMy.INFO, the mailing list and auto responder utility in the network.

What I want to do now is focus on the elements of the contest that I’ll setup.

I’ll need:

  1. Contest Rules –I’ll have to come up with some basic rules.
  2. A way to pick the winner –Just put everyone that writes’ a review and lets me know the location into a “fish bowl” and pick the monthly and quarterly winners.
  3. A way to qualify the winner –As I sad above, the entries are created when a review of my site is done.
  4. The prizes:
  • GRAND Prize: A Rich Sage Built Affiliate Account that generates $2,000+ monthly.
  • Runner UP, or first Prize: A Rich Sage Built Affiliate Account that generates $1,500+ monthly.
  • Third Prize: A Rich Sage Built Affiliate Account that generates $1,000+ monthly.
  • Each of those prices I’ll give away every quarter.  The Third Prize will be given away the end of Quarter ONE, the Second, the end of Quarter Two and the Grand Prize, a little after the end of Third Quarter.
  • I’ll also award a Rich Sage Advertising package every month starting in January 2008 to a subscriber that I pick from the mailing list system.

HOW CAN YOU WIN a Rich Sage Prize in 2008?

Just post a review of the RichSage (following the directions here)  and let me know you’ve done that.  I’ll then add you to the “fish bowl” into which I’ll dip my hand and pick the quarterly winner.

Keegy.COM Hybrid Web Mashup

Category: MY REVIEWS | One response so far »

Rich Sage Review: Keegy.com, hybrid Web Mash-up Network

Today I visited keegy.com (http://www.keeygy.com) and applied to have my RSS feeds published on their network.

Keegy.com
The web 2.0 application presents itself as “Keegy.com is an hybrid “mashup” web application that generates the published edition through robots that learn from anonymous user interaction.”

During the registration I watched as the robot from Keegy visited the Rich Sage and ‘grabbed’ information about my feeds.

It will be interesting to see what type of traffic this generates, but I have a good feeling that it will do well because of what I’ve seen from RSS traffic in general.

What’s New About This?

The KeegyBOT, a web crawler robot spider will go to Web2.0 sites that are mostly blogs and capture information.

I also read a statement by Keegy that says “Users in each location interact with the site anonymously generating interaction statistics for each City & Country.” My assumption is that these are ACTUAL HUMANS, which sounds very interesting. I am looking forward to seeing what that does in my traffic and the feedback that I’ll see from the system.

Lastly, the Keegy.com system will use an artificial intelligence algorithm to analyze the behavior and rank posts according to the local preferences of a region.

I’ll monitor this site and what it does for me in the coming weeks and report on the outcome.

5 POINT, 30-DAY PLAN for 1,000+ Visitors

Category: MAKING MONEY | No responses yet »

5 POINT, 30-DAY PLAN for 1,000+ Visitors PER DAY

I’ve implemented a plan I’ve discussed for about 2 weeks on building traffic. First I hired someone who put forth a logical plan to do her share of the work. However, I am not going to just let someone else do the work and sit by and watch.

Rich Sage Alexa Rank

I’ve quickly checked my Alexa Rank (http://www.alexa.com) and found out that I am not even ranked there.

That means in just about one quarter I need to get ranked.

The stats tell me that I’ve got a 3-month traffic rank of 1,186,079 and a 1-week average rank of 748,407.

These hardly stats that I would want to tell anyone, but I try to “tell it as things are” –not to manipulate things and look like I’ve created a new, secret way to do things and now you need to buy my $49.95 ebook to find out how.

Actually, all of my lessons are free, so, all of this work will be “laid out” on the table in my lessons area for everyone to learn from.
I’ve put together a 5-point plan to do the following:

1. ARTICLES: I’ve written around 30 articles. I’ll update all of them and keep writing to reach my goal of 125 articles this year. I am sure I can reach that and put the entire database of articles in my lesson area for students to use for monetizing ideas.

2. WEB DIRECTORIES: I’ll also go to a good number of web directories daily and post a Rich Sage profile in each. These profiles link back to the Sage and create links and visitors.

3. POSTS in BLOGS: I’ll identify around 100 blogs and work on communicating with each writer and post in the comments area useful, intelligent comments, which I hope will lead to a relationship, going forward.

4. PRESS RELEASES: I’ve made a list of places to send press releases. Both free and paid. I’ll first use the free ones to get out around 10 press release over these days.

5. AFFILIATE PROGRAM: I’ll add a Rich Sage campaign in the BiiG Affiliate program. This will create a lot of links and visitors to the site. I will also take the 30 days to add a lot of products to the site, which I will deliver, like the Rich Sage Reviews, to customers and pay commissions to the affiliate program.

My goal is to reach a traffic rank of around 5,000 this quarter and a goal of reaching 3,000 next quarter. The first goal will also mean a PAGE RANK of 3. And the second goal will yield a Page Rank of 4 or 5.

I’ll keep Rich Sage readers posted as I reach these goals. And the How To aspect of all this is in my FREE lessons.
