BEST Locations for Article Submission

Category: MAKING MONEY, TRAFFIC BUILDING | 6 responses so far »

This is a list of the TO 10 Places to post your articles

For my article and press release study I’ve come up with a list of sites to publish my articles.  I’ve already put a list of press release sites a day ago. Now to a list of article sites:

The above are a short list of available site, but keep in mind that you don’t need to submit to a list of gazillion –Just keep it to the TOP 10 or 20 sites, with you adding a few to the above over time.  What matters is results and you’ll see that it is far better to manually submit to 20 than automatically to 200.

Also, keep in mind that each site is looking for quality articles.  When you become known for writing such articles, they will allow a lot more articles from you.  Keep up with good business judgement and you’ll be well on your way to reaching more and more visitors to your website, blog or sales pages.

Publishing Press Release and Articles Study

Publishing Press Release and Articles

To day I started a study on using Press Releases and Articles to drive traffic.

I am finishing writing over 120+ articles and press releases in the coming months. These will be used to post to press release submitting and article sites.

I’ll also try to get them published on various websites, blogs and ezines.

All of them contain a link or two to the Rich Sage and various tools that I’ve created. All the links that I put are tracked by the affiliate software that is running the ad network.

Since I am using a unique item –press release or article, I’ll be able to track the effectiveness of each site.  Then I’ll make changes to the item and publish again to make it double accurate.

My objective is to teach home business readers how to build an effective online business.  The study starts today and the results will be published for my FREE Members, via my membership area.

Web Site Traffic Growth

Category: MARKETING | No responses yet »

I’ve visited a lot of popular sites and it seems that those sites have lost their focus.

That presents an opportunity for me to build real traffic and real readers.  My objective is to help my readers learn about monetizing and making money online.

At this time, the traffic score card using Google’s PR rank is very low. From 1 (the lowest) to the highest, which is 10.  I am steadily gaining momentum, and I’ve been at it for 6 months, mainly focusing on content. The next six months will focus on traffic.

My objective is:

  • JUNE to NOVEMBER, 2007: PR1
  • DECEMBER, 2007: PR3
  • JANUARY, 2008: PR4 –This is my target!

Quarter Two, 2008:  Reaching the PR 5 or 6 threshold –This will require mass exposure.  But, I have a plan to get there providing outstanding content.

Part of that plan involves:

  • Paid text links
  • Press releases.  I set out to create around 125 press releases/articles and they are already getting converted to many languages.
  • Providing great content and lessons.
  • Lastly, the YouTube videos for select lessons.

I am already posting about twice daily and that may even expand to around 3 posts per day.   Anyway, in little as 100 more days there will be several hundred pages and a few case studies.

A DAY to REMEMBER & A Rich Sage PR LESSON

A DAY to REMEMBER in the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign, 2008 &
A Press Release Sending Study Starts

Ron Paul Campaign

I started following the Ron Paul presidential campaign early in the summer after the candidate gained momentum on the Internet. At first I found it hard to believe that someone with such integrity was running for president. So, the once-in-a-lifetime moment was here.  I sincerely hope this is not that last of such candidates.

Anyway, I was so impressed, I wanted to pass along the message.  So did thousands of others, and now that’s turned into millions.  I described a ground-swell in this post just weeks ago.  I pointed out using Japanese Artist Hokusai ”Wave” that the Internet community was at the tip of forming the wave. And the surge from the bottom had not started.

UPDATE: That surge has started!

Remember, remember, the 5th of November has taken that to the main-stream media head on.  The buzz started about Ron Paul in the traditional media and now it’s gaining steam.

What are We to Learn from this Making Money Online?

It’s surprising how we try to stick to strictly online exchanges to get our message out about our products, services and applications.  These online exchanges do not account for a majority of potential customers for our services.

The ideal way to “get the word out” is to use the existing print media as much as possible to reach all types of readers.  Getting articles and press releases published by the media creates one-way links back to the product sites.  That create tremendous exposure via the traffic they generate AND the search engine response to the links –which is to send even more traffic.

When links for key words such as ‘make money online’ are created and linked back to the Rich Sage, that creates tremendous credibility in the eyes of the search engines.  When the search engines see such links, they send more and more visitors and that in turn translates to more and more visitors.

The end result is a snowball effect.  But, the question everyone will ask is HOW do you create that?  If you look at the Ron Paul campaign, they have a great product, in who I call the Rich Sage Person of the Year, 2008, Dr. Ron Paul.  All they had to do was manage the ‘exposure’ in a manner that didn’t create chaos and the message kept getting out.

How Do We Get Our Message Out?

With articles and press release.  I’ll post a list of must-use article sites before the end of the week.  Here is a list of places to submit, with free and paid services, press releases.

PRWEB (http://www.prweb.com) – This is a paid press release publishing organization.  However, as a paid service, PR Web is very effective at what it does.  As you can imagine, if something is free, it will get spammed.  In this case, PR Web reaches it’s audience via email and RSS Feeds, and the exposure, based on categories is tremendous.  When you are sending out a press release that you pay for, this should be your first choice.

The below services I have not tested, but I will do so before the holidays and report back, via my FREE Lessons.

PR Leap (http://www.prleap.com) – Indeed, PR Leap runs a free service for press release distribution. However, to reach vital news services like Google News distribution (to make sure) they suggest that the users upgrade to a paid service.  The service allows you to also add text links, but again, an upgrade is necessary. I’ll test both aspects in the coming weeks and report back to you.

PR Buzz (http://www.prbuzz.com) – PR Buzz sends out free press releases.  My quick inspection didn’t show a paid component. It will be interesting to see how they do with my press release.

PR Zoom (http://www.przoom.com) – PR Zoom has a paid and free component.  The free inclusion is limited in scope, branding and links back to the website.  There are also ads placed.  For an upgrade fee, the service will add a logo, links and remove advertising running around the press release.

PR Log (http://www.prlog.org) – PR log is a free service.  They have a good list of categories and distribute a PR using RSS feeds.  Several of the features that other companies charge for are included for free. Once again, I’ll have to test this service and see how well they do.

PR.COM (http://www.pr.com) – PR.com has a free and paid component.  The free service is only for press releases.  When a membership is upgraded the PR services includes a host of services for maximum exposure and search engine optimization benefits.

FREE Press Release (http://www.free-press-release.com) – This is an interesting service because they have a free and paid component, but the payment is VERY low.  So low, that I cannot believe it.  But, I’ll test and make sure to report.

1-888-PRESSRELEASE (http://www.1888pressrelease.com) – Once again a company with a free service sending press releases.  They also have an upgrade but registration was required to access that part.  I have no idea what they will charge for the upgraded services. Once again, I’ll test and report.

My exercise is to use a different press releases with each of the above services –once with a free service and another with a paid service.  I will be doing that in the coming weeks and reporting back to you.  More details of this study will be available to my students via my free membership.

Ron Paul for President 2008 Campaign Online

Ron Paul for President 2008 Campaign Online Executes Like a Perfect Demo of Online Surge & Success Building

RE: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

I believe the 2008 election will mark a turning point in politics in the USA.  The turning point is that in the past the media turned on their favorite candidate and fed the people with what they thought they needed to hear.Ron Paul Presidential Campaign

The media played the hand and controled the outcome.

Following the turning point, which I feel we’ve reached in the third quarter of 2007, I believe it’s the people who are massing around one candidate and the PEOPLE are taking control of who they want elected as the president.

All this is happening thanks to the Internet.

Over the last election, when representatives were elected to congress, the people voiced their opinion, and the politicians just didn’t get it.  This time around there is a VERY LOUD message that no one can miss!

As I write this the R0n Paul campaign website is showing $200,000 PER HOUR in donations being contributed.  Everyone was worried that the site would crash, but I don’t see that at this point.  At this rate the total may reach around $6 million by the end of the day.  That still leaves around $1 or $2 million that should get added from the postal mail.

So, the message is hitting the mainstream –from print, to radio to the networks, the message is getting through. AND the third quarter was the time when the ”snow ball” went from being pushed by the Internet crowd to rolling by itself, which is what I see now.  Of course, a little push by people like myself X 1 million voices does not hurt, with everyone working to get the message out online and off-line.

All this is easy enough to say when you have a PERFECT PRODUCT –The man himself, Doctor Ron Paul!

Stable Wordpress 2.2.3

Rich Sage Upgrades to Wordpress 2.2.3

After several months of using Wordpress 2.0+, I’ve upgraded to 2.2.3.  If you notice Wordpress is up to 2.3.1, but I skipped going to the very latest, following the advice of my Wordpress advisor.  She said there are several problems with the latest, and that’s great advice that I know I’ll regret if I don’t follow it.

The advice comes from someone who helps me manage several hundred wordpress sites.

I am sure many of you wait until a stable release of an operating system is out before upgrading.  At this time I have yet to go to Vista for example. I am content with XP, and may only go to Vista during the holidays, when things get slow and I have some time to resolve things.

Just like that, my advice is to take it easy jumping to the NEXT CMS OS –content management system operating system.  Keep things slow, read a bit and only move to the next version when it’s really needed.

If you are an early adopter, things can be messy. Our objective is to use Wordpress. Not be at the tip of the sphere, resolving code problems.

Rich Sage Helping Online

Rich Sage Help Building Success Online

Over the weekend I had a bit of time to view many blogs of competitors in the make money online scene.  I was surprised to see that most of the posts that they do are “fluff”. Sure they got started out with serious stuff about traffic building and various online how-to help, but now the focus is lost.

This gives me an open door to help people and with out further delay, let me start!

GETTING STARTED ONLINE:

  • First of all, when you get started online, there are lots of FREE places to “setup shop”, but I’d pass on that and get some hosting.  The best host that I’ve run into is WebIntellects (http://www.webintellects.com) as their customer support is great. Even before they knew me as the Rich Sage, they provided great support.  Mention “Rich Sage” at the end of the order and you’ll get WEBMASTER Hosting for the price of the Gold Package.  This is more than what you need and accommodates 5 domains.
  • Next, as I’ve said over and over, get started with a Wordpress site.  (http://www.wordpress.org) Download the folder and then upload to the hosting site.  Follow my video lessons at YouTube –just search “The Rich Sage” and you’ll see my lessons.  I’ll show you how to setup Wordpress and get started.
  • Once again, the Wordpress learning series starts today and you’ll just need to follow allong for a week or two and you’ll be set to become the next ‘Net Mogul!
  • Lastly, while working with a Wordpress web site, you’ll need to know how to work with images.  There is a great public program called GiMP you’ll find here: http://www.gimp.org.  GiMP 2.4 was just released and it’s very hard to believe that this is a FREE product.

So, you have the tools, since you’re reading this on a computer to become the next online success story.

I’ll get back to work now, and that includes working on the many lessons that you’ll need to build your online success.

Wordpress — Richsage 5-Star Review

Setup, Build, Manage and Dominate with Wordpress Sites

About two years ago I made a decision to work with Wordpress.  At that time, my largest site had around 500 pages that I had typed.  The site was so big that I didn’t use Wordpress.  Now, when I start a website, the first thing that I do is setup Wordpress.

Wordpress Website

The process starts with going into the hosting account’s admin panel and setting up a MySQL Database and user.  I am making a video of this process later today and you can use it to setup your own site.

Anway, once that is done, the files for Wordpress are uploaded via FTP (file transfer protocol) to the hosting account.  Then you need to just type the name of the URL of the website and add a folder name if you put Wordpress in a folder.  If Wordpress is running the entire site, I recommend it in the root of the folder.

When the URL is entered to the browser, you’ll see the installation screen that asks for the database details, name of the site and email.  That’s it.  The installation actually takes about 2 minutes and just like that you’ll have a website that can manage millions of visitors, inform the search engines what you are writing about and broadcast your daily posts to the RSS (real simple syndication) feeds.

Wordpress is the foundation for the content management system.  Built on that are thousands of “applications” (pluggins) built by programmers, students and hobbyist that do everything from publishing content various ways to displaying video.  Wordpress does it all!

I’ll now spend a few minutes putting a video tutorial about Wordpress and in the coming days I’ll have several lessons here on what you can do to expand your business website or your personal site and get your message, corporate information out to the world.

What are the BEST MEDIA ACTIONS you can do with Wordpress?

  • As I said, the broadcasts of RSS feeds are automated with a pluggin.
  • Search engine optimisation is ‘boring’ but again, it’s automated now.
  • Need to show YouTube videos? That can be done.
  • Like to have comments? User feedback?  Wordpress allows it.

These are just a few of what it can do. There is NO WAY that I can list even 10% of what Wordpress can do.  Just go here and find out for yourself from Wordpress.ORG.

Rich Sage with New Theme

Category: MAKING MONEY | No responses yet »

Replacing Two Column Rich Sage Theme with New Three Column Theme

After a few months I’ve made a decision to move to a three column theme which helps with:

  • More content –screens are getting wider.Rich Sage Theme Before
  • More advertising space.
  • More widgets and images to build traffic.

The old theme, which I have to the right, didn’t have that clean ’feel’ giving it a fresh, new, Web2.0 look.

I didn’t feel good about the posting area either.  It was too narrow.  I am uploading images that are always 320 pixels wide and that didn’t give room for most posts with text on the side. That’s now resolved.

With this update a major upgrade is done. Now it’s off to do minor things to make the look perfect. That may take a week or two.

Rich Sage New Theme

WHAT’S GREAT about the NEW THEME?

I think the top is very clean, and when tabs are pressed, the top does not change, but the area below the tabs does.  Some work has to be done by the Wordpress Guru to make it look better, but that’s work for Monday.

The other elements are a new way to seperate the posts, an ad space at the top right, and an entire column of ad spaces to the right of the theme.

All this goes to the monetizing optimization that I am focusing on for two months.  That part of the work will involve inserting advertisers into all the spots and writing reviews.  There are about 4 ad spots and about 2 to 3 reviews per week.

I’ll also discuss the many aspects of the Wordpress Admin area that I’ve worked on.  Not only has the look improved, but the administration functions have too.

RSS Traffic Building

Building Website Traffic with RSS Feeds

While discussing building traffic last month, I put RSS Feeds at #14, dead last as I didn’t do much and let Wordpress and Feedburner do their jobs.  However, to my surprise, the third or fourth popular way readers found the Rich Sage was through RSS Feeds.

I’ll now discuss what I did to setup that traffic.  In my free lessons, via a membership, I’ll discuss the little details and how I did it.

  • Wordpress Plugin –Google Sitemap XML
  • Feedburner
  • Google Webmaster Tools, Google Reader

Google Sitemap
BEST WAY to SETUP a WORDPRESS SITEMAP for GOOGLE, MSN, Yahoo and ASK:
First the best wordpress pluggin to manage a Sitemap –Google Sitemap XML which you’ll find here.  Using this tool you can setup Google sitemaps in Wordpress.  What great is that it will also make the sitemap Yahoo, MSN and ASK.com compliant.

The image to the right is the Wordpress ADMIN where, I’ve setup the sitemap, and as you may note it’s updated to ASK and Google.  Today, it ddn’t update to Yahoo, but I think that’s just a glitch at that time.  When I put this post, it will update again to all the sites.

The pluggin also takes care of the frequency of updates as it connects to each site to let that system know that the XML file was updated.  This is I think a great tool and it does the job nicely. It’s a Rich Sage 5 STAR award winner!

 Feedburner RSS syndication

BEST WAY to SETUP RSS FEEDS:
The next tool is Feedburner, which you can learn about here.  I am not in the habit of reading RSS feeds, however, I was surprised to find out that many do and they have subscribed to the Rich Sage feed, which helps make money online.

The Real Simple Syndication (RSS) are broadcasting the information using Wordpress and the Feedburner pluggin.  The process works automatically.  I just make sure the software is running.

The benefit of using Feedburner, which is owned by Google is that it immediately ‘broadcasts’ the feed (posting information) over the Google reader and various other RSS readers to subscribers.  I haven’t checked how many are subscribers, but from just readers coming to the site, I see a lot.  This is essential stuff to build a making money online website and business. Once again, this is a Rich Sage 5-star award winner.
Google Webmaster Tools

BEST WAY to TELL THE WORLD about YOUR SITE: Google Webmaster Tools
The last item for review are the Google Webmaster Tools, a suite of tools that help you spread the message about what you’re doing online.  One of the tools is the sitemap reader, which collects the XML file, reads it and uses it to tell searchers about what the Rich Sage does daily.

If I write something here, within hours it’s found on Google and that’s the magic of using this process –it creates an ‘open door’ that lets in the search engines to catalog each word and send the visitors.  Nothing more to say.

So, Rich Sage, how do you setup all this?  That is what I do with my free lessons. Help you setup tools and services such as this. My lessons are getting a major upgrade and will re-launch on the 12th of November 2007.

Rich Sage
