This is a list of sites and services that I’ll maintain to show places to publish press releases and articles:

PRWEB

PRWeb is the widely used online press release disemination service that all type of business depend on to build traffic to their businesses.  PRWeb will distribute a press release to thousands of locations based on category.

There is a small payment for the services, but it’s well worth it for a press release that is written professionally, to take advantage of key word phrases.  Often PR Web press releases rank high in Google searches.

Viral Marketing Campaign Setup

Category: MARKETING | No responses yet »

Setting up a Viral Marketing Campaign

I spent a good part of the day working on my viral marketing campaign.  Just to give you some background a viral marketing campaign essentially is a “marketing campaign that takes on a ‘life of it’s own’ in the media”.  Here are two good examples:  The first is “Will it Blend?” by Blendtec. >>  These guys are using their blender to pulverize everything from SPAM cans to iPHONES.  All of which is shown on video at their site.  These marketing videos of what the blender can do are mentioned all over the Internet.  They are pointed back to their site from millions of places in forums, blogs and websites.  The result is mass traffic.  I just check their PageRank (PR) and it comes in at a “6″, while my P31 site which I have updated for 3 years has a “3″ rank.

My next example is Buy My Stupid Ebook.COM, which again is linked to all over the Internet.  Just click here to see what it’s all about… >> Once again, this is a site that is getting a lot of traffic just for the way it’s presented and the humor in it all.  I just checked the PR and it’s a “3″, which tells me that I am not doing so bad at P31.COM.  However, there is a lot of room to improve.

The idea of the viral benefits of a marketing campaign are the following:

  • Thousands of people will link via ebooks and articles back to it
  • Thousands more will link via video and How To media back to it
  • Thousands will link via media such as blogs, forums and websites
  • The end result is that for certain key words and general visitors the site will get a lot of traffic.

That is what I aim to accomplish with the 1800’s GOLD RUSH and IM FRENZY, which I have setup here. >>

What’s interesting is that there are links to this page already.  Now my plan is to update the page about every quarter and keep optimizing it for the traffic.

I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me –I’ll get back to it. Carpe Diem.

Article Writing 101

Category: MARKETING | No responses yet »

Writing Five to Ten Articles Daily, Most of the Days

My Internet traffic and success building plan is mostly built around the concept of publishing.  This is an age-old, proven formula.  The idea is to publish article, after article on about 25 ‘niches’ I have identified in the ‘grand focus of all things’, which is small business.

Last night I started that work with the below title:

THERE ARE 3 BASIC PROBLEMS with INTERNET MARKETING PLANS, and I’ve EXPLORED THESE ISSUES and SOLUTIONS as the RICH SAGE.

First of all, I can see that I am no good at writing HEADERS.  The basic setup is to first get attention.  Then the interest of the reader and then desire of the reader what the reader needs to know and finally, the action the reader needs to take at the end of the article.

Not all the writing is sales oriented –the above formula is called AIDA -attention, interest, desire and action.  I’ll keep that in mind for each article.

Going back to the above header, I took the article that I wrote below that and duplicated it five times.  I’ll keep doing that –to take one article and write it over five times.  Then, when I produce around 5 original articles a day, I can spin that to produce around 20 of them total.  AND when I write about 25 niches, that can really add up to a lot of publishing work.

I don’t mind at all, as I know this is a proven and successful formula that has worked since the printing press was invented.  Before that by word of mouth.

Interestingly, I’ve already written around 20 articles and another 100 are “in the works” and all this is now a matter of executing to drive the traffic.

I now need to get back to writing. Carpe Diem!

Site Revenue Chart

Site Revenue Tracking

Site Revenue will be tracked for this reason:  It’s a quote by Lord Kelvin, the British Physicist of the Absolute Temperature attribute…  “When you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind.”

In my case, I am tracking everything from the clicks to the ROI to the results –everything that I do to monetize the Rich Sage’s work.

To help me do that at the end of the month, and to show you what is happening, I have developed the below chart.  I’ll update this monthly to show you how to run your own business and build upon my ideas.

REVENUE TRACKING CHART:

Rich Sage Monthly Revenue

I’ll keep updating the above to prove my points and help you build your own income streams and site monetizing objectives.  The first update will be for July07.

The two main objectives that I hope to accomplish with the chart are:

  • KNOW what to do, and what to optimize.
  • What NOT to do.

I think most aspects of monetizing this site and building a very successful Internet business are only reached when traffic and results are measured very closely.

Ok, back to work…

Reporting on Rich Sage Site Revenue

As part of my traffic building work, I’ll also report back on the following site monetizing efforts from my sales.

My product breakdown is like this:

  • $2.97 to $9.97 — Mainly ebooks sold via various setups and SendMY.INFO.  I use these items to build the mailing lists.
  • $19.95 to $249.95 — These are the monthly membership in the Maxsimo Ad Network.
  • $497.00 to $997.00 — This is the deposit needed to work on a site supported by our Ad Network. This is the deposit made by the client to get the work started.
  • $5,000 to $25,000 — This is what I’ve charged as a deposit for people who want to work with me at the NEXT SuperStock “Inner Circle” project.  I plan to work with upto 31 Inner Circle Members, who I build success for and document.  Then I’ll open up the process next year to the public, each time on a limited basis.

Most of the funds that come in at the first part and last part is used for building the Stock of the Month mailing list.

Most of the funds that come in at the middle of the above list are used to build the Maxsimo Ad Network and it’s tools.

The RICH SAGE site was started in June 2007.  I think I just got the basic setup and a few posts done.  The membership and everything that goes with it was launched on the 7th of July, 2007.  Now I will start reporting the monetizing efforts like this:

REVENUE MONTH:  July07 | Aug07 | Sept07 | Oct07, etc.
REVENUE TYPE: From above list and

  1. Affiliate Programs
  2. Ad Networks
  3. Product Sales
  4. AdSense
  5. ClickBank
  6. I am sure I’ll add to this list
  7. COST of SALES by the Month

I will also plot the revenue and expenses that it takes to build the revenue.  I think I need to add a clarification: My reporting will not show the entire company’s revenue –Just the Affiliate commissions that I earn promoting the various properties, services and affiliate programs.

Ok, all this is a lot of work. I’ll get back to that. Carpe Diem.

Marketing Plan

RICH SAGE AD & Marketing Plan Setup

Most businesses that get started have a business plan. OR at least they should.  Essentially, this is a blue print to What Will BE Done.  I have a business plan that I often update for the Ad Network.  However the business plan was NOT EASY to reach as far as the main goals that I set because the marketing plan did not reach many of it’s goals.

Now that has changed.

So, for my Monday task, after warming up with a blog update to one site, I ran VISIO to setup a diagram that summarized the AD/MARKETING PLAN for the entire network.

AND here it is…

AD Network Advertising & Marketing Plan:

Rich Sage Ad and Marketing Plan

NOTE ABOUT DIAGRAM:  It shows from start to finish how I build value for the customer.  Why?  At the end when the ad network helps small business build their success, this creates value for my ad network and the makings of a VERY large company. At the top is what I put in -effort (my own and a worldwide team) and at the bottom is the outcome –VALUE to the Customer & Company.  This is a bit obvious, but I’d be willing to bet that MOST online businesses or for that matter many at the street level forget that the *customer* is KING.  We are mere servants.

Often a business will setup a Business Plan, but that business plan is often contingent upon ONE FACTOR — Sales. If the sales and the resulting cash flow are not met, the the business plan falls apart.

In my case I continously kept working on why the Maxsimo Ad Network were not selling fast.  Then I looked at the most popular Affiliates work. That affiliate was running their own ad system, and one of the programs that was promoted was my ad network.

That led to the creation of the RICH SAGE lessons, which solved that problem.

Now I have perfected the Ad and Marketing plan, which now I have laid out in a flow-chart for anyone to understand.

When you start your online success story, I highly recommend three things for GETTING STARTED:

  1. Setup a good idea, brand, a value that benefits many
  2. Setup a good business plan
  3. Setup an Ad and Marketing plan

Then work like ‘mad’ to make it all happen.

Now back to a very busy day… Carpe Diem,

RICH SAGE

Building Traffic

Category: MARKETING | No responses yet »

What a difference the Rich Sage brand has made.  What a difference switching to WORDPRESS has made.  As many of you know, I started out with a blog called P31.com (PENNY THIRTY ONE) in the fall of 2004. I am giving it a ‘makeover’ switch everything to WORDPRESS.

By business summary building traffic is now:

  • Work with P31.COM on technical issues and a forum for FREE ads.
  • Work with the Rich Sage brand to help new Internet businesses and build the Tip of the Day Mailing list.
  • Lastly, work with the NEXT Super Stock site to build an Investment Membership site.

When I started P31.COM, I had a basic theme of what I was going to do –My big idea was to start with nothing and build it up to millions using the Internet.  I suppose everyone has that idea. Nothing new.

My plan got started with nothing, but the coins on my desk and then coins that I collected from all around the house.  I had just moved. Had a son who just started crawling (good reason to remove all coins) and the new house had lots of work to do.

It was perhaps the worst time to embark on a ‘project’ but that was part of my thought process –there is never a perfect time either. So, p31.com got started.

However, it got started with no help from a content management system or blog software such as WORDPRESS (WP).  At that time I didn’t even know about WP.

Now I am switching to WORDPRESS for sites that update often and Joomla for sites that have a lot of static content.  By the end of this year that will make around 1,000 WP sites and around 120 Joomla sites, which are all manged by a system that I’ve developed.  Collectively, I call this the companies publishing network.

That leads me to my topic today –The Benefits of Wordpress:

Using WORDPRESS I am able to manage all aspects of the this website

I can add cool little widgets that manage everything from the comments (with spam protection) to notifications that posts are done (pings) to the pictures that are up on the site.  All this is managed by WORDPRESS.  In fact, I stopped using the publishing program Dreamweaver and switched to NVU for some publishing work.

All the rest of the details are handled by WORDPRESS.

I would link to a WORDPRESS how to file at this point, but there are too many.  The best place to get started on WP, as I call it, is to go to WORDPRESS.ORG >>

Since everything that builds success is partly a function of the tools that are used to build traffic, I’ll call WORDPRESS the best traffic building tool that I use.  It is the BASE for all the activities.  AND from it most of the processes that webmasters need to do to build traffic can be setup, run and maintained.

That is just what I am doing daily using WORDPRESS.  My goal this year is to reach 25,000 visitors per day, and by the end of 2008, break the 100,000 barrier.  Reaching just a few hundred visitors at P31.COM took several years.  Using the Rich Sage Brand and WORDPRESS, I have brought that down to week, as seen by my results over the past month!  As you can imagine, all this is a lot of fun, after tirelessly bloggin away for years.

Following my business plan for the Rich Sage, I don’t see that stopping anytime soon.

Next Gen Electric Car

Category: TECH | No responses yet »

Just got to work and spent a bit of time navigating the tech site that I often read –Cnet.COM, where I ran into the Wrightspeed Electric Car.

The company building it is in California, and more information is here about it and the founder, Ian Wright:
http://www.wrightspeed.com/company.html

Electric Sports Car

SOME SPECS:

• 0-60 in 3+ seconds (faster than nearly all supercars)
• 1/3 the energy consumption of a hybrid (170 Miles Per Gallon equivalent).
• Everything you see is in first gear.
• The fast stops are regenerative braking (returning energy to the batteries).
http://www.wrightspeed.com/specs.html

What I found very interesting here is the brakes, which produce power, returning energy back to the batteries, as the brake is pressed.  I wonder how this type of technology, when applied to a semi-truck that gets 6 to 7 MPG, will perform.

If the energy consumption of the car is 170 MPG and if that is translated to 4 engines in a much larger truck, then the equivalent energy output should be around 40 to 50 MPG.  Perhaps, even greater as the power needed for a larger truck is only at the start –so, at times even double that!  Or, perhaps, with an onboard powerplant, that can extend to double or triple.  The irony of this is that most train engines have been running like this for nearly 50 years using a diesel generator and electric engines at each wheel.  The idea here is to make that smaller and fit in a truck or even a car.

So, the technology solutions are out there.  Now we just need the “will” of the bureaucrats to set some real goals and provide a few incentives for companies to ‘make the switch’.  IF a Wrightspeed type of supercar can be produced, I don’t think there are limits to what CAN be built for the average commute.

Now back to work…

Small Stuff

Category: TRAVEL | No responses yet »

Often it is said that one should not sweat the SMALL STUFF.  In this case, I am looking at all the details. I should add that I am doing it with the help of the company’s WORDPRESS expert.

Anyway, I’ve added the following to the RICH SAGE blog site:

Picture Gallery –I’ll use this to show pictures from my travels. Hopefully, I’ll be able to attend a few Internet type of events.

The minor stuff is a change in color for the selected TAB at the top.  Very minor. BUT, I expect hundreds of thousands of people to see this effort and I want to make sure that everything that can be top notch is done that way.

Today I spent an hour or two working on the links at the site.  For example, look at these two links:

http://www.maxsimo.net/company/

http://www.richsage.com/go/test.php

I’ve setup a .htaccess file which manages all the outgoing links for various sites that I work with.  My next step on this is to have the tracking and management program I am using, keep track of all the clicks.  As I’ve said, time and time, that’s the only way to optimize any site for ROI. Once again, the “small stuff’ makes a great difference.

I’ve got around 5 articles ‘backed up’ in a draft mode.  So, I’ve really gotten excited as well about the progress and I’ll talk about that in the coming weeks.
