Rich Sage Success MindSet:  Overcoming the WALL!

Over the past few weeks I’ve launched every aspect of Rich Sage dot Com Community that I have planned.  Sure there are parts, like the marketplace, that are a work in progress, but overall everything is going forward and a lot of progress is made daily.  Well, that was true until about a week ago…

Now I feel that in the middle of the swing (using a tennis expression) I have stopped.  And in tennis, the follow through is just as vital as how you make contact with the ball.  I suppose it’s true with many sports.  It’s the same with a golf swing  –The follow through is just as important as the setup to hit the ball!

Today to address the “follow though” I made a 100 Day Plan.  I’ve set several goals  –in new Rich Sage dot Com Underground Memberships, revenue and traffic to even an update to my office.  Goals which I am going to work continuously for 100 days to accomplish.

Earth Rise

My 100 Day Action Plan Continues…

Here are the major PROBLEMS that I NEED TO FIX:

  • I have validated the business plan.  The Rich Sage dot Com Community is growing by leaps and bounds.  I am executing my business plan.  However, I feel that I’ve hit the 21st Mile of a Marathon.  I know. I’ve been there. I still remember the pain!
  • But, at this time I don’t have physical pain.  AND I want to avoid the mental pain of failing.  I just feel that I’ve RUN 21 Miles and don’t know what to do next.  I seem to be wasting time. I used to watch around 1 or 2 hours television PER WEEK.  Now it seems daily. What a waste.  I have maintained a great diet, but I have neglected daily workouts.
  • I had an excellent work schedule, given that I am doing two jobs.  However, lately, I’ve gotten late starts — Ideally I need to start around 9AM at the office, AFTER a 1 to 2 hour workout, which may include a long, fast walk, sit-ups and push-ups.  I have not been consistent.
  • I was then in the middle of my breakfast watching some news, and heard about Michael Phelps training routine  — 4 hours swimming in the AM and then 4 more in the afternoon.  How many years he’s done this, I have no idea.  I suppose he’s swimming a few miles daily while training!  I noticed that Mr. Phelps is the same height as I am (6′ 4″ -194CM), but weighs about 20 lbs (10 Kilo) less than I do.  I suppose I don’t need to be in world-class physical shape, but getting half way there would be nice. I’ve got a bit of work to do!

The problem is that I too want to reach excellence.  I too want to be an outstanding winner.  I too want to reach my goals, but the problem is that I have NOT DONE the work.  I have NOT done the training.  I have not executed as well as I can.  I have not FOLLOWED THROUGH on my commitments.  Now I feel the pain.

I hope my 100 Day Action plan will pull me through…

So, I immediately after Michael Phelps training plan “hit me between the eyes”, I grabbed a folder and paper and did the following:

  • Setup 100+ pages with a “100 Day Countdown”, which started today, the 12th of August.
  • The end date is the 19th of November  –right before my birthday and Thanksgiving Day holiday.  About 100 Days with a few days to spare, before Thanksgiving.
  • The primary objective is to “ramp up a notch” my work and “swim with giants”.  I think by then I have reached that plateau.
  • My folder containing at least ONE PAGE per Day will be scanned and published for my Underground Members as an e-book.

The objective of the 100 Day Action Plan is obviously to reach my goals, but THE METHOD also is a fantastic way to “ramp things up” and get ready for the next phase of my corporate work.

The idea for the 100 Day plan came from Comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who had problems writing jokes when he got started.  To resolve the situation, he forced himself to write daily, and on a calendar he put an “X” each day he wrote jokes.  Then he tried to keep as many days going with “X”s crossed out on the calendar.  I suppose I’ve done the same with updates  — I try to go 3 days in a row, or 7 days in a row… In my case, I’ve got to do something –really anything I can for 100 days!  It’s certainly not an easy task, but I’ll put in my best  — Otherwise, I feel that I’ll not “make it over the wall” that I’ve hit.

Here is What I need to Accomplish by the 100th Day:

  • Revenue of at least an additional $1,000 per Day with rapidly accelerating cash-flow going into December, January and February 2009.  My corporate growth plan needs it!
  • Rich Sage Underground Members growing from 50 in August (Paying) to over 500 by November.  I’ve implemented an Affiliate Program.  I should be able to attain 500 Members.
  • Rich Sage Marketplace and a special ClickBank product showcase area working.
  • Maxsimo Software Programs for Clients, Affiliates and Company Operational –Version 1.0 Released.
  • Rich Sage dot Com traffic growth making the site a TOP 10,000 worldwide web site!
  • The Maxsimo Network and Affiliate Program fully underway.  I want it to be the masterpiece of my work!

Earth Rise by Moon

Here is What I am Doing to Accomplish the Above Goals:

  • I’ll post frequently in the two forums I participate in –about 10 to 12 posts daily in the Warrior Forum and around 50 to 70 in the Digitalpoint Forums.  I’ll also advertise as much as I can in each of the forums utilizing the least expensive method.
  • I’ll use my article writing and publishing method to post 100 Articles  -roughly 1 per day to my list of article sites.  All of these articles will be for the Rich Sage Affiliate program and Underground.  There will be some general promotion of Rich Sage dot Com.  If I get behind my article writing, I will hire someone to write some of the articles.
  • I’ll post around twice a week to Rich Sage dot Com and update an old post once a week. I’ll also keep working to update all my publications.
  • A majority of my work will be to upgrade everything about the Rich Sage Underground  –everything from the sales page to the Member Community will be upgraded continuously to help Members achieve their successes.
  • Upon updates to the sales page, I’ll increase my AdWords budget to $500.00 monthly.  I’ll also spend another $500 advertising on website frequented by website owners who are looking for a great affiliate program.
  • Lastly, once I accomplish my goals, I’ll reward myself on my birthday.

I suppose I already feel “energized” to get the above done.  Now I know how Michael Phelps feels  –I’ve just gotten started and the energy is flowing.  I thought about the images I picked –they are from a “moon shot”, a term which is often used to describe the reach for a “far off target or goal”.  The JFK Moon Shot.  Or recently, the GM Moon Shot with the VOLT Car.  In my case, I don’t feel that way about my 100 Day Goals simply because I feel that I am at the 21ST-Mile.  I’ve already done a lot of work.  It’s the last 5% of the process  –as I see the “finish line” that is bothering me.  I just need to “focus” and execute the “game plan” for the last 5 Miles left in my race to take me OVER the TOP!  I’ve run a race (Columbus, Ohio Marathon) and finished.  I suppose in the business world, I’ve run many races and finished.  This “race” is unique because I feel that I’ve got to overcome a hurdle to reach the next level.  I know that these 100 days are critical to that success and I want to make sure that I’ve given 100% of my effort, when I look back with a big smile.

The 100 Days Continue…

Carpe Diem,
Rich Sage

Ambitious goals. But if you do not shoot for the stars, you will never soar in the heavens. If there is anything I can do to help you out, let me know.

Hello Chase,
I agree. But at times when the TREND is YOUR FRIEND, as many thing are in my case… Traffic, product releases, cash-flow –overall execution of a business plan, I think it’s a good idea to take a deep breath and “PILL IT ON”. So, the 100 Day personal challenge that I am responsible for meeting.

I suppose the effectiveness of it will be documented here and results of it will show up from traffic stats to cash-flow.

Of course, I’ll update the process about every two weeks with a post.

And HOW can you help? Well, I appreciate the visit and comment. IF there is a way we can work together, do let me know.
Success to you.
Rich Sage.
