Rich Sage VC The Final Pillar

Category: INVESTING, MAKE MONEY ONLINE

The Final Pillar in the Rich Sage Online Success Model

Over the last 10 years I’ve have amassed around 80 domain names that can run everything from a dating site to online advertising.  I have not done much with these “properties” because of my focus with one site –Rich Sage dot com.  My objective was to make sure that I knew how to build any online property, then amass the funds to build them, utilize my online building skills and manage a network of properties that would eventually get sold.

Setting up such a company translates into setting up a Venture Capital company, but utilizing my existing advantages to minimize risk.

Those advantages are:

  • Ability to build online properties using organic and cost-effective methods.
  • Ownership of many properties.
  • Having spend a considerable amount of money to build the base of operations for many sites.
  • Utilizing open-source software to get a major portion of sites operational.
  • Lastly, running a mean and lean operation — I don’t house our operations in “billion dollar” office complexes like my below example!

More about my business model & it’s success…

This model is NOT new at all.  In fact, I’ve tracked IAC Interactive for years.  They are a Fortune 1,000 company that manages a lot of online properties, including ASK.COM, Gifts.Com, Match.Com, Etc.

My model is the SAME!  However, in my case, I don’t need to “shell out” millions of dollars to build or buy online properties — I have the know-how and domains to setup the network from the beginning.

There are three vital elements to make it happen:

1. I need staff –Fortunately I have the original people that I started working with.  And I know where to find the others to make it happen.  It will not be a outsourcing operation.  I like to retain work in-house, especially when dealing with products that we sell and collect funds for.

2. I need two promotional elements –Affiliates.  Well, that too I have from my RIch Sage Underground. Local Leaders, again, those that I work with in the Rich Sage Underground.

3. The last element of my needs is the funds to make it all happen.  That is what I am embarking on from today –The building of a VC (venture capital) program following the below elements.

Rich Sage Venture Capital

NOTE: CANSLIM is a registered TradeMark of Investors Business Daily.

I and a business partner have funded operations for many years.  The “experimental” stage of all of my work is now over and it’s now time to RAMP UP OPERATIONS and build the final step of the many properties like SENDMY.INFO, ROBOBanner, ArticleMINT, ADD MATCH, etc.  –All in all, around 40 properties that will be built and sold in the next year to five years.

SENDMY.INFO, which can manage unlimited mailing lists and virally promotes our member lists I’ve run for several years.  My next step is to expand operations working with Rich Sage Underground Members.  I don’t think this site will be sold because it will retain all the subscriber information for ALL mailing lists in the network, and become one of the top three valuable sites and a STRATEGIC ADVANTAGE!

ROBOBanner will be an ad network utilizing WordPress.  It will also have a real-world ad component I don’t wish to discuss because these are patent implications.

The ArticleMINT, which I’ve run for only a years has over 1 author registering EVERY HOUR, and at the current rate that will be around 1 author every 5 minutes by the end of the year!  The site will maintain a repository of articles that goes out to hundreds of thousands of WordPress sites via our network.  With thousands of daily page views, I can use ads and a publishing product to monetize, building value.

At the current rate of growth tens of thousands of article authors will post millions of articles on the site.  My next step is to RATE EVERY ARTICLE and give each author an opportunity to publish the best rated articles in our network of WordPress sites.

Lastly, AddMATCH, which I hope will be one of the top sites that we sell next year.  It will be a dating site, enabling people to find each other world wide, based on local criteria.  Again, my Rich Sage Underground Members will be heavily involved building the dating database where members can post images, voice recording and video to find their soul mates.

I cannot get into the details of all the sites, but I can say that we have a vary valuable collections of properties that are already growing very fast, and present two options for long-term success:

1. Build and Sell outright.

2. Build and find a working partner for partial acquisition.

I will also retain around 5 core assets which I consider vital to the long-term success.  These “core sites” are also cash cows, and it does not make sense to sell them, although, I’ll consider strategic joint ventures that will enhance credibility and traffic/exposure. For example, Rich Sage dot com and NEXT SuperStock are the two sites where I run my operations.  These two sites represent ME. I cannot sell them as they are my brands.

However, for all the other sites it’s a matter of having the RIGHT PRICE!

In the short term, what I aim to accomplish from the Venture Capital operations is this:

Rich Sage Venture Capital Returns

About the image:

YELLOW 40%: I anticipate that with only 10% of the funds that I receive from Clients put into VC projects –mainly my online properties, will yield 40% or greater profits!  I anticipate that around 20 of the properties can be sold for several million, while 4 or 5 properties will be sold in the $20 million to $50 million range.

BLUE 40%: I anticipate that I can put 70% of the funds into the stock picks that I feature at NEXT SuperStock to generate a 40% annual return.  Again, this is a figure I hope to maintain for the next 7 years.

LAST 20%: Lastly, I anticipate funds put into OPTIONS –Calls and puts will greatly add to the overall returns.  Again, these are the main stocks that I have picked.  When they show promise to lead, I purchase mostly options.

My objective is to accomplish 100% returns for my Clients for the first 7 years. These returns do not included ONE-TIME payments that are made when sites are sold.  I will allocate a small percentage of the sales proceeds to Clients, set aside a major portion to my investment account and another portion to cover expenses that have brought operations to the current position.

As I start this last phase of my Rich Sage operations, I will invite only 25 new Clients , and in 2009 I will expand that Client base to 100 total Clients, where I will draw the line. Following this business model I’ll have $10 million dollars from Clients and another $7.5 to $15 million from operations to fund future growth of the network and properties.

Other elements that I see greatly aiding operations:

1. Sites that are not sold may acquire partners –making large contributions to cash-flow.

2. Existing sales –everything from the RichSage Underground to the various properties will sell hundreds of products, services and memberships.  Everything adds to cash-flow!  Much of the cash flow will be used to innovate and build a solid team of programmers to work with.  As I said, most of the programming is in-house.

3. I will also look to purchase more web properties, at various stages of development, especially from my Underground Members to build even more operations.  The goal is to have around 15 to 20 properties at all times available for sale.  That will mean that around 60 to 100 online properties will be a “work in prograss” as we build them to meet our capital growth –short and long-term.

When all is said and done, I will be at the helm of the Venture Capital operations, making sure that my Clients are happy.  I need to do that — I too am A Client, as is my business partner.  When all the Clients are happy, I’ve done my job.

Carpe Diem,
Rich Sage
