Rich Sage Upgrades to Wordpress 2.2.3
After several months of using Wordpress 2.0+, I’ve upgraded to 2.2.3. If you notice Wordpress is up to 2.3.1, but I skipped going to the very latest, following the advice of my Wordpress advisor. She said there are several problems with the latest, and that’s great advice that I know I’ll regret if I don’t follow it.
The advice comes from someone who helps me manage several hundred wordpress sites.
I am sure many of you wait until a stable release of an operating system is out before upgrading. At this time I have yet to go to Vista for example. I am content with XP, and may only go to Vista during the holidays, when things get slow and I have some time to resolve things.
Just like that, my advice is to take it easy jumping to the NEXT CMS OS –content management system operating system. Keep things slow, read a bit and only move to the next version when it’s really needed.
If you are an early adopter, things can be messy. Our objective is to use Wordpress. Not be at the tip of the sphere, resolving code problems.

Hi Rich Sage - this is good stuff - I am a newbie and started one wordpress site in the summer - finding it very nice and easy - then 2 weeks ago I hired a firm to do a wordpress site for me and boy - it seemed really ‘clunky’/slower when I started to play around with it and also post to it.
Thanks, Chris
