Rich Sage Sustainable Traffic Generation
I am getting a few emails weekly from people offering to build traffic for me. I don’t dismiss these people, but I also don’t motivate them to keep talking to me. Simply said, I don’t believe in what they do because much of it is pure unsustainable actions.
Take for example these offers:
- To post to blogs on my behalf — How long can someone keep that up?
- To post in forums on my behalf — How can someone be held accountable for what is said.
- Various linking schemes that point to the Rich Sage.com — Again, what is said and who is saying it cannot be controlled. Frankly, I suspect anyone who’s selling this type of package will then outsource the work to who knows.
- Lastly, I have also gotten several requests to write on my behalf — Again, I am not comfortable letting just anyone write for the “Rich Sage”, especially when they directly publish that information on article directories.
The wisest move is to build links naturally, based on content that is key word friendly in a organized manner. In the end, the content is what brings in readers and that in-turn leads to more and more readers as the blog gets listed everywhere.
Often we want to take short cuts, and that may be fine to get a jump start. For example, one could send out dozens of press releases. However, longterm, it is unsustainable and leads to the quality of content and the type of visitor “going down” –often a blog or web site will end up with tabloid type readers who don’t really interact with my membership or business plan.
Anyway, I look forward to success the old fashioned way — I’ll earn it.
