Category: MONETIZING STRATEGIES, TRAFFIC BUILDING

Very Few Posts were made in October of 2008

Only about 6 posts were written, with my most important launch ever –The NEXT SuperStock Membership.  However, traffic climbed another 25%, helping to gain over 1,000 page views per day on most days.  Most of this traffic is from search engines, and a bulk of it from Google.

I’ve done my best to report on making money online using the various sites I’ve built.  Then I used memberships to monetize that effort.  All-the-while, I kept working on directing traffic to the Rich Sage based on key words, and that is working well every month!

My Monetizing and Traffic Building Progress…

I’ve focused on user generated content, like the Make Money Online Free Ad Forum.  It’s been about 6 months since I installed the area.  It took just about that length of time to amass just 50 Members.  All of a sudden, this month, that Member count has *exploded* above 200.  I see the trend continuing as a few dozen Members join each day by the end of November.

That trend has also proven itself at my article site –the Article Mint, which now has nearly 2,000 Members and a few signing up each hour!  I see that trend continuing as well, and I’ll be able to introduce a few products around it by next quarter.

I can summarize that user generated content works very well, and now my goal is to keep managing each of the areas to keep the content clear of spam.

On the monetizing strategy using memberships, I have really one –The Rich Sage Underground which went live in September.  The growth of the area was slow, mainly because i didn’t have a clear plan on how to manage the two main Member sites — Biig.com and Biig.com/wiki.  After some editing of the sites, and improving the navigation, I think now I have a better solution.

The original problem was that the Drupal software didn’t do a great job organizing a directory, while the Wiki software did allow me to manage the perfect directory.  However, the two didn’t work together until I discovered the problem.  Now Members have to make accounts in Drupal and Wiki, but the result is that a powerful combination of software will help them manage their local community and the directory.

Step by step –everything gets done.

Carpe Diem,
Rich Sage
